Meet Lilo! 💕
Lilo is a one-year-old bundle of love and puppy energy who is ready to find her forever family! This sweet girl is friendly, affectionate, and absolutely loves being around people. She’s doing great in her foster home and is proving to be a very good girl. Lilo is also learning how much fun toys can be! She’s especially in love with squeaky toys and is discovering how to play and entertain herself. It’s adorable watching her figure out all the little things that make being a dog so much fun!
Lilo is doing well with potty training and doing great in her crate, and she’s settling into her new routine beautifully. She would love a family who will continue helping her learn and grow.
There are no young children in her foster home, so her behavior with young kids is still unknown. However, like many young dogs, Lilo is still working on her manners. She can be an enthusiastic jumper when she’s excited, and she’ll need someone willing to continue basic training and teach her that four paws on the floor gets her all the attention she wants!
Lilo is currently doing well with her foster dog sibling, but she has shown some reactions toward certain dogs, so we’re considering her dog selective. Proper introductions will be important for her.
She has met the resident cat, but they haven’t had enough interaction yet for us to know exactly how she feels about cats. 🐱

🐾 YOU DON’T HAVE TO FOSTER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! 🐾

We know that not everyone has the time, space or ability to foster a dog — but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a huge part of saving lives. 💜

Awesome Paws Rescue is always looking for volunteers to help behind the scenes and at our events!

Here are just a few ways YOU can get involved:

✨ Help with adoption applications — review applications, make reference & vet calls, and help connect our dogs with their perfect families.

🎉 Event volunteers — help with setup, breakdown, meet & greets and keeping our pups safe and happy at adoption events.

💰 Fundraising — help come up with and execute creative fundraisers to raise money for the dogs who need us most.

🐶 Junior volunteering & other ways to help — there are opportunities for animal lovers of all ages and all kinds of schedules!

And the best part? You don’t need to know everything — we’ll provide the training and support you need. 💜

Every application reviewed, every event helped, every dollar raised and every post shared helps a dog get one step closer to their forever home. 🐾

This beautiful girl is all things sweet, lovable, and fun! Karma is a 5 year old pitbull and is truly the goodest girl! She LOVES her humans and is happiest wherever you are! She is easily excited and likes to greet you hello, but she has good manners and knows basic commands (sit, paw, down, come)! Karma was the only dog in her home before she joined her foster family. She currently lives with 2 pitbull foster sisters and she has done well in short spurts with them, but she is dog selective and still learning how to respect boundaries and play appropriately. She has not interacted with cats, so a home without them would be best. Karma does well with kids of any age: taking treats nice and gentle and lots of kisses! She LOVES going on walkies, but is a strong girl who likes to pull at the start until she gets more comfortable with where she is going! She also really enjoys car rides: likes to look out the window, have her paws up on the center console, and pant like a backseat driver! Karma lived in an apartment before she moved in with her foster family, so this is her first experience with a backyard and she is a very curious little girl! She loves to do the zoomies, explore, roll around, sniff alll over, and chase birds/squirrels/deer/etc, so a fenced in yard would be very helpful. If you’re looking for a new best friend with the sweetest face and biggest heart then Karma is your girl!

She LOVES squeaky toys. Like… LOVES them. 🐶💥

The problem? Lilo apparently believes every squeaky toy has a short life expectancy. 😂 She can destroy a regular toy faster than we can say, “Leave it!”

So we’re looking for TOUGH squeaky toys made for aggressive chewers that can survive this little toy assassin. 😈🧸

This is Lucy. She is a puppy mill girl now looking for a patient family of her own. She is a smart girl who loves learning all the good things there are in this world. Lucy is crate trained, good on a leash and excelling at potty training. She is a petite girl at only 32 lbs. and can definitely use some more. She has some quirks as all mill dogs do but she is very affectionate with people and loves kids. She is happiest right by her person’s side. She can be a bit dog selective so a meet with your furbaby would be necessary. Lucy has not met any kitties yet. If you’d like to make Lucy apart of your family please research the breed to make sure your lifestyle and family would be a good fit.
