Sunday is always Funday at Steel City!

Because gathering together, laughing together, hearing the Word of God together, and praising the God who loves us & created all things is the most encouraging thing one can do on a Sunday.

That to-do list you had lined up for this afternoon?

It can wait.

It’ll still be there.

But Sunday Services only happen once a week… and we want YOU to hear the amazing message and truth of God’s love for you while you still can.

Because one day soon, Jesus Christ will crack the clouds and return for His Church. We want you to be part of that glorious crowd, securing your salvation for all of eternity!

Studying how Jesus interacted with women of the Bible is profoundly impactful. He sees us - He knows us - He loves us!

But as we study the historical event of Jesus interacting with Mary, Martha and Lazarus as found in John 11:1-44, we find out that Jesus didn't shield Mary and Martha, the sisters of Lazarus who has just died, from pain, from grief, from disappointment. Rather, Jesus loved them enough to allow them to walk through the hurt of death, to feel it, to question it and even be confused by Jesus' actions.

"Lord, if you had been here..."!!! (John 11:21, 32)

Jesus knew the end result!

He knew the forever impact of allowing Lazarus to die - only to resurrect him (yes! bring him back to life!).

Check this out from a study our SCC Women Together are currently learning from:

"Jesus Himself raised Lazarus from the dead. He had His purposes in waiting as well as His welcome of grief, confusion, and questions. Jesus did not rush to resurrection, and He met Mary, Martha, and the people with His own humanity as well. Yes, He will resurrect, but there is something in the waiting that He has for each person. He has Himself. Waiting for resurrection gave Martha, Mary, and the people more of Him. And that is what He gives us as well."

Ask yourself this - what are you waiting for that has the power to push you closer to Jesus? To learn more of Jesus? To receive His strength to endure?

In the waiting - He is there.
