Hope that you all had a great summer, and wishing everyone a smooth start to the school year.
September will bring us back to our normal JOAD class times:

9:00–10:30 AM Session: Beginners, and Green - Gray Pins
11:00 AM–1:00 PM Session: Black Pin and above

To ensure we have adequate instructor coverage on the range, please make every effort to arrive in time for shooting to begin at the session start. If you need help getting equipment out, arriving a few minutes early is appreciated.

September 5 – No JOAD (Labor Day Weekend)

September 12 – Normal Sessions (9 and 11)

September 19 – Normal Sessions (9 and 11)

September 26 – Normal Sessions (9 and 11)

October Schedule

October 3 – No JOAD (Allied Sportsmen Meat Raffle that evening — please consider attending)

October 10 – Normal Sessions (9 and 11)

October 17 – Normal Sessions (9 and 11)

October 24 – Normal Sessions (9 and 11)

October 31 – Combined Line, 10 AM–1 PM — Halloween Party

Please bring archery‑safe costumes (no bulky parts where the string can catch, especially around the face, arms, or chest).

The plan is a combined line at 10AM, shooting outdoors, and having a picnic. Please email, or DM the page with your RSVP. If you can bring a snack/side, please let us know that as well!

FYI, We're monitoring the Air Quality situation, and if it's a problem tomorrow, we will move to an indoor practice.

Reminder that tomorrows practice is a combined line 10am-12pm

If you are shooting with our equipment, text one of the instructors (numbers below) you are on your way, and we can arrange to have your gear out at the outdoor area when you arrive, and save some back/forth

We're continuing to build out the new Outdoor JOAD range on what used to be the outdoor r***e range.
Thanks to some great volunteers we've gotten a bunch of new target stands built (more than visible in this picture, but to give you an idea)

We've got some upcoming work projects that we could use some help with if you're able.
- Stain Range Shelter
- Stain Target Stands
- Sink several cement pavers to ground level to mark target distances and avoid remeasuring
- Fill a couple holes to avoid tripping hazards
- Clean out shed and organize/optimize

Please dress for the weather tomorrow, it looks like a nice day and I hope to be outside. The ground may be a bit soggy, boots wouldnt' be a bad idea.
