Friends of the Albuquerque Public Library Established in 1969, the Friends of the Public Library is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization

Main Library Bookshop, operated by the Friends of the Public Library, located on the Lower Level of the Main Library. The Bookshop features a large selection of current releases, multi-media, and more book-related merchandise at 80% - 90% off of cover prices.

Today, Saturday, June 13th! Find us in the lower level of the Main Library (501 Copper NW) to stock up for your summer reading plans. The sale runs from 10 AM to 4 PM with $2 entry before noon, free for everyone after noon. (Members always enter free, btw!)

Travel Route 66 to your next favorite read at the Main Library (501 Copper Ave NW) this Saturday, June 13th from 10 AM to 4 PM!

We’re featuring 1,500+ cookbooks, both professionally published and community-based—all in excellent condition. We’ve also got features on LGBTQ+ books, books about dads, and books to help you celebrate the Route 66 Centennial!

In addition to all of these special features, we’ve also got our regular selection of tens of thousands of quality books, movies, CDs, records, puzzles, and more at bargain prices. Vintage and new, classic and niche, bargain and collectible, we’ve got it all!

Entry is $2 before noon and always free for our members. (It’s only $15 to become a member for a year!).

Thanks to a generous donor and some strong volunteers, we have an incredible selection of cookbooks currently in our Bookshop and planned for our June 13th sale! We have 1,500+ cookbooks in excellent condition, some new, some vintage—all for just 10 to 20% of the original list prices.

Seasoned and aspiring chefs alike, we invite you to stop by and find some new professionally vetted and published recipes to try!

Our Bookshop in the lower level of the Main Library (501 Copper NW) is open Monday - Saturday from 10:30 AM to 2 PM, and our next book sale will be Saturday, June 13th from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Main Library as well. See you there!

Thanks to all who stopped by our ~mystery~ sale yesterday! Thanks to you, we raised $4,500 for our library system. Our Bookshop raised an additional $800!

We’ve prepared a new blind date with a book selection, art, puzzles, movies, music, and books of all genres—over 25,000 of them! Most items are priced at $3 or less with paperbacks and children’s books starting at just a quarter.

We love to give recommendations—ask any volunteer for a suggestion on your next read, listen, or watch!
