11.1 It was a breezy and cool time outside, putting this share together for a family of 3. I need to take a cue from the late Queen of England and put tiny weights in the hem of my nightgowns, yes, nightgowns. I was one strong breeze away from an indecency citation. Thank goodness my lightweight flannel bathrobe saved the day.

There is food in this share that came from my Generous Hearts wish list. Thank you, my sweet friends, who sent items; they sure came in handy, and I can’t wait to share more of the wishlist items. I also want to say thank you to my friend who does most of the shopping for GH and makes those dollars stretch with sales and manager's specials. She also stocks my freezer in her garage with all the frozen foods with her own $. I have the absolute best friends, neighbors, family, and community that help to keep the GH shelves full and feed our community.

10.30 Today’s first share is for a family of 3.

Made 3 different sections on the table for the 3 families' groceries that are being picked up at the same time and then delivered to them by their caseworker.

I, of course, forgot the shampoo and conditioner until seconds before it was picked up. I got up way too early this morning to do this; I’m not even sure I’m awake. Generous Hearts, the sleepwalking edition. 😂

Howdy Neighbors.

A friend asked me about my Amazon Generous Hearts list and why I didn’t share it in my posts. I didn’t have an answer because I had not thought of that. DOH, as I pretended to slap my forehead like those old V-8 drink commercials.

I have many folks ask what is needed, and I usually send a list. I am going to post the link to make it easy for folks who ask what is needed, and I will be posting a link on my share posts.

Please no giant single sizes, as I will not be able to share it with multiple families. Regular size single and multi packs are great.

If you feel so inclined, I would love it if you shared this wishlist with folks to help get the word out.

Today was a real squeaker.

I worried that I had enough for 3 families, 6 people total. My brain was wired and saying there wasn’t enough for one family, let alone 3.

My heart told me that it would be ok. It always works out. ❣️ALWAYS❣️. I started gathering items: a little from here, divide this by 3, only enough for one family of this, another only enough for 2 families. It happened! While the shares are not as generous (we like to share a few weeks of food at a time) as GH loves to share, there is enough for each family for the next few days.

I am tapped out, left with a small amount of odds and ends. I am starting another wait list.

There is maybe enough money left to do a bit of shopping to take care of 2 families of 4.

Over the last 2 weeks, Generous Hearts has shared food with 18 families/68 people, including 2 different families of 12. I am so incredibly happy and proud to have been able to share this food with families in our community.

I don't do this myself and have some pretty amazing friends, family, and even people I haven't met who share money, food, and even shop for GH. Thank you all for your kindness and generosity. It truly takes a village to do this, and I am so grateful for all that you do.

Feeding folks is loving them, and the best way to feed a hungry child is to feed their family.

10.7 Today’s third share is for a family of 2. Built the shares in the garage and bagged them up to put on the table.

All of the 3 shares are being picked up by a caseworker and then delivered to her families today when she visits them.

I have 3 families next week and then I will need to take stock of what I have on the shelves. We have shared a HUGE amount of groceries in the last two weeks and had some large families in there as well. I may have to start another wait list with the folks that have reached out this week.
