Noble County Miracle Tree Inc. Noble County Miracle Tree: Established in 1987 started with providing gifts & needs at Christmas for low income families of Noble County, Indiana.

We have since expanded with our Back to School events, and help in emergency situations of displacement. We have numerous ways people can help, taking a tag and
buying a gift for a child, donating new toys, clothes, or gift items
that we can distribute, financial donation that we use to buy
gifts with, "adopting" a family, collecting Christmas items, such
as wrapping paper, tape, bows, etc. We

also work with Toys For Tots
Tags are put on trees at various locations in Noble County. Tags have the child's number, gender, clothing sizes and/or needs and wants. Community members are encouraged to take a tag, buy a gift and return the gift to the location with the tag attached. Envelopes are also available at the locations to leave a financial donation with the office personnel or cashier. Please do not wrap the gifts. The wrapping paper becomes torn during the numerous times the gifts are handled. Wrapping paper is given to the families. This gives the parents a part in the process.

Needed: Fresh food, or packages/boxed. No cans please. We have had these cans & some in the office for awhile. I don't know why people don't take cans very often. We had 4 families come in today & walk out with nothing. They may have plenty of canned goods at home.
If anyone has a baby, there are a couple jars of baby food & some teething crackers.

We are trying to put together gift baskets full of goodies for our raffle April 10-11. We hate to hit up local businesses. They have been hit hard with requests recently. We would love gift cards, candle, etc.... we are thinking a "Pamper Me" basket for the ladies & a "Surprise Me" basket of goodies.
People will be able to choose which of the 4 prizes to put their tickets into. We have 2 grills already!
we need items ASAP so we can order tickets.

The little food pantry at Noble County Miracle Tree gets an average of 12-15 families a day. Unfortunately a couple of people took advantage of it. Because of a few emptying it repetively & not leaving anything for others, we installed a camera last week. (THE CAMERA IS OUTSIDE... NOT WATCHING PEOPLE GETTING FOOD FROM THE ACTUAL PANTRY. ) We know who was doing it & they have stopped now.
With that being said, so many just come get what they need & are so appreciative that our community cares so much for them. They really need a kind gesture, food for sustenance, & to take without feeling embarrassed. We love each & every person who walks through our door. But we also want there to be food for them when they come.
NEEDS: toilet paper, paper towels, boxed foods, fresh, etc. we have plenty of cans at this time.
Boxed things like Mac & cheese, cake mix, pancake mix... (syrup)... are favorites.

Thirteen families were helped with the little pantry yesterday. Thank you to everyone who brought food to share with them. We have lots of canned food. Other food items & household products are all gone.

For anyone new here, we are a non profit 501c3. We help low income Noble County children. We coordinate Christmas for these children, have a Back to School Event with backpacks, school supplies & haircuts. We also are available for emergency situations & foster families throughout the year. We have new clothing, hygiene, bedding, dispers, toys, etc.
We are raising funds for a pole building because we don't have enough space for what we do.
We are having a garage sale April 30-May 2. We will also be at the Noble County Home & Garden Show April 10 & 11. We will have a raffle & will sell plants there. In June, we will be at the Chain O' Lakes Festival with a food booth.

Many puzzles were donated today. We have 38 now. Bring one, take one. Or you can just donate if you have excess.
Our community is amazing. So many people able to drop in & get food & so many giving from their hearts.
