A deeper dive into local history is coming up on June 6! 📜🦅
As part of the America 250 IN Noble County celebration, the Noble County Genealogical Society and the Galloway-Prentice chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution are inviting the public to a special free history program, “Patriot Stories.” ✨
The event will take place Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Cole Room at the Noble County Public Library in Albion. 📚🏛️
Historian Matt Bennett will share the stories of Noble County’s two Revolutionary War veterans, Nathaniel Prentice and Joseph Galloway, both buried in Noble County. ⚔️🇺🇸
Following the presentation, Rachel Bender will tell the remarkable story of discovering her great-great-uncle, Army Major Isaac Hart, whose remains were found on a shelf in a Cincinnati cemetery’s “unclaimed” division. After years of research and dedication, Hart was laid to rest with honors at Arlington National Cemetery. 🎖️🕊️
