As we wrap up LifeWise for 2025/2026 we can't help but reflect on God's goodness to us. It's been such an exciting year!

We had four students in grades 2–5 who will be baptized this summer. Many kids have asked for information about getting plugged into local churches, and they have become more comfortable asking questions. As a result, we have had the opportunity to field some incredible questions from them. We've worked hard to make LifeWise a place where they don’t just learn about God's Word, but also learn that God's Word has answers for them!

Our students also made some awesome connections between key concepts they were taught each week. The following is a story from the last day of class with the second grade group. After our prayer time, one of the students approached the teacher. She had been studying the character trait posters from the past two weeks. The traits were “compassion,” highlighted through the story of Jonah, and “mercy,” taught through the story of Joel. This little girl said, “God really showed both of these traits to the people of Nineveh. He had compassion for them, so He gave them mercy.” She made such a beautiful connection between those character traits, and it was a wonderful reminder to us of how God is working in the hearts and minds of our students.

Thank you to everyone who has made this year of classes possible. We can't wait for next year! If you are interested in learning more about how you can get involved in LifeWise reach out to us. We would love to have you on our team!

Below are some highlights from our last week of classes. Special thanks to John McGill for providing our classes with ice cream and Tammy Hochstetler for bringing in her baby goats.

It's hard to believe this is our last week of LifeWise classes! It's also impossible to measure the impact that this program has had on the lives of the students who participated as well as the adults who served them. We are grateful to everyone who prayed, gave, and served! Because of you, the love of God was shared with 288 students. The Gospel was proclaimed, and many seeds were planted. Our middle school students were introduced to the person of Jesus Christ and spent the year examining His life and ministry. First through fifth grade studied the judges, kings, and prophets. They learned that God is merciful, slow to anger, and faithful even when we aren't. Our kindergarteners learned about God as creator, how sin came into the world, and God's plan to redeem His children starting with with the Israelites. We saw so much growth across this year and we can't wait to start back up in the fall!

Don't forget to come see us this Friday for Family Fun Night, and be sure to check out the pics and video below.

We’re so grateful for the faithful volunteers who serve in our LifeWise program! Yesterday, Pastor Carlson stepped in to teach first grade while one of our regular teachers was away. He taught the students from the book of Joel, pointing them to the hope we have when we place our trust in Christ. What a blessing it is to have godly leaders who are passionate about sharing the Gospel with the next generation!

Here's a peek at what we are learning this week. Make sure you check out the pictures below.

🍇Kindergarten – Caleb & Joshua – CONFIDENCE - Key Verse: 1 Peter 1:16
The Israelites sinned by not trusting that God was in control, as result, they would wander the wilderness for 40 years. They would not be permitted to enter the Promised Land. Since Caleb and Joshua had trusted God completely, God decided they would
enter the Promised Land.
🦗1st, 2nd & 3rd grade - Joel - MERCY - Key Verse: Joel 2:13
Joel explained that the swarms of locusts were God's judgment on the people of Judah for turning away from Him. He warned the people about another judgement day that was coming—the Day of the Lord—a day when God will judge His enemies, free His people and make the world right again. Those who trust in Jesus will escape God’s punishment for sin.
👰🏻‍♀️4th grade –Hosea – LOVED – Key Verse: Joel 2:13
God used Hosea’s unfaithful wife to show the people of Israel that they were unfaithful to Him. God gave Hosea a deep love for his wife in spite of her actions. Likewise, God’s love for us is deep, and it never gives up.
🙏5th Grade - No class this week due to a Biztown field trip
🧔🏻‍♀️Middle School – Jesus shares the Lord's Supper - SACRIFICE—Key Verse: Luke 22-19
At the Last Supper, Jesus revealed that He would sacrifice His life
to establish God's new covenant forever. Jesus was a servant until the end, and He calls and equips us to do the same.
