Crossroads Communities is hosting a second listening session for an Albany Community Services Center, to be held on Thursday, June 11th, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 930 SW Queen Ave, Albany, OR 97321.

Building on the thoughtful input gathered thus far, this session will focus on defining the scope of the new location and identifying the demographic it will serve. We are also glad to share that a tentative name has emerged from our early conversations with Faith Lutheran Church: The Cornerstone Community Center.

We are deeply grateful for the perspectives you have already contributed, and we remain excited to continue shaping how the site will operate, the services it will offer, and the reach it will achieve. As this work moves forward, we are broadening community involvement for this next session, welcoming the providers and organizations identified as key stakeholders within our network and the wider community. To that end, we encourage you to extend this invitation to anyone within your organization, our shared network, or the broader community whose voice and involvement would enrich this project.

Adopt A Park is looking for a few volunteers who enjoy getting rid of graffiti in Albany!
You would respond to police reports about new graffiti, and remove it. It is very important that new graffiti is removed quickly. The taggers will come back a second time, sometimes even a third time. But once they know it will be covered quickly, they give up.
The Time you volunteer each week is very much up to you.
If you have a couple hours a week to spare and would like to do this on an ongoing basis, I would love to discuss this with you! Please e-mail Jill at: [email protected]

The City of Albany is offering grant funding to support programs that help unhoused or housing-insecure individuals impacted by opioid use transition into stable housing, recovery, and long-term community integration. Nonprofits and community organizations who meet the criteria under the Oregon Opioid Settlement Exhibit E may qualify for a grant award. The total program allocation is $250,000. More details are available on the attached PDF. Applications are online and due by May 29 for award in June.
