No one gets left behind.

We were trapping a mom and her babies near a 7-11. This gal darted away. With the help of a heat sensing camera. We found and caught her and put her with her mom and siblings.

Mom, Thank Heaven, and babies Slurpee, Slim Jim, CornNut, and Big Gulp have been in foster and are now fixed, vaccinated, and ready for their forever homes.

Every raffle ticket sold helps us help them, it gives you a chance to win great prizes, and it gives a rescued cat a better shot at a healthy, happy life.

Without adoptions there is no rescue. Without YOU, there are no adoptions. It's simple math.

Have you been thinking of adding a cat or kitten...or two to your home? Look no further! Cats and kittens will be up for adoption at THREE local Petco stores - *new* Castro Valley, San Ramon, and Dublin!

Come meet your next best friend/s at the Petco located at 3735 E Castro Valley Blvd on Saturday, August 29th from 1pm-5pm AND also at San Ramon Petco this Saturday, August 29th from 11am-3pm (2005 Crow Canyon Place - across from Costco). Felines will be at the Dublin Petco (11976 Dublin Blvd, Dublin) every Wednesday from 3:30-5:30PM and this Sunday, August 30th from 3:30-5:30PM. In addition, several are at the Dublin store every day. If you see a picture of a cat you are interested in, check with us which date/location they will be showing. Or, reach out for personal meet and greet times, questions, or to get the process started by filling out our preadoption form.

If you don’t see what you’re looking for, let us know. Daily, new cats and kittens come through our rescue. You can also text us at 925-829-9098. If you are looking for any special characteristics we can put you on our list and help you find the purfect match.

The felines are fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for common diseases. Some have met other cats, dogs, and young children. Fosters have socialized and cared for them in their homes.

Luckily, working with a rescue, they are well taken care of and have a great foundation for the rest of their lives. The nominal $200-250 adoption fee covers all of the services mentioned above. All cats and kittens are available for indoor-only placement.

A friendly momma, most likely dumped, was found raising her babies in a garbage can. FCF was able to get them into rescue and give them a chance. The babies are now fixed and in foster, and so is mom! All are up for adoption.

These kitties and mom are LUCKY.

The ugly truth about "free" TNR
We hear it every week:
“Can someone come trap these cats?”
"Why do I have to pay?
These aren't my cats, I just feed them because I don't want them to starve."

We understand.
Most people don’t realize what goes into TNR they just think it should be “free” and that someone else can handle it.

But here’s the truth:
That “free” service you’re asking for?
It's only free to the person asking, never to the people doing the work.

Every trap, every can of food, every drop of gas costs someone. Appointment fees, Capstar, dewormer, tuna, cat food, gas, even puppy pads to line traps, none of it appears out of thin air.

Each “free” TNR job costs hundreds of dollars before we even count the hours of driving, feeding, cleaning, trapping, and returning.

And behind every “free” service are real people. Volunteers washing soiled traps in their driveways. Loading and unloading scared community cats before sunrise.
Skipping dinners and losing sleep to make sure those cats get trapped, fixed, vaccinated, and safely returned.

This isn’t a hobby; it’s hard, messy, emotional, draining, real work.

“Free” doesn’t mean easy. It means someone else is paying the price.
Through their time.
Through their gas tank.
Through their weekend.
Through their heart.

So next time someone says, "Well, these aren't my cats", remember they aren't ours either. These cats didn't ask to be there. Someone let it get to this point, and now we can work together to make it right.
