We are incredibly grateful to the Rotary Club of Aiken for awarding The Salvation Army of Aiken a generous grant to purchase new mattresses for the women and children’s rooms at our Red Shield Emergency Shelter.

A safe night’s sleep is more than just comfort. It provides dignity, hope, and a place to rest while families work toward a brighter future. Because of partners like Rotary, women and children experiencing homelessness will have a cleaner, more comfortable place to call home during their time with us.

Thank you, Rotary Club of Aiken, for investing in our community and for helping us care for our neighbors when they need it most. Together, we are making a difference—one life at a time. ❤️

Today, the Rotary Club of Aiken was proud to award $9,000 in Community Service Grants to five local nonprofits making a meaningful impact throughout our community.

Grant recipients included:

• Aiken Center for the Arts — $1,500
• Aiken County Family YMCA — $2,400
• Journey Oasis — $2,000
• Mental Health America of Aiken County — $1,500
• Salvation Army of Aiken — $1,600

These grants support organizations that are improving lives and strengthening our community through their dedicated service and outreach efforts.

A special thank you to Community Service Grants Committee Co-Chairs Martha Ruthven and Suzanne Jackson, along with committee members Bill Molnar, Lisa Ennis, John Rush, Bob Erikson, Forrest Anderson, Betty Ryberg, Kate Antrim, and Liz Stewart, for their hard work and thoughtful stewardship of this important program.

Through Service Above Self, Rotary continues to invest in organizations that make Aiken a stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community. 💙💛
