Dream of Soul foundation is a Community Based non-profit organization which was founded on 18th/December/2013 in Buyinja, Kyanamukaaka, Masaka district, central region of Uganda. The project has registered 30 children who are in Primary schools. We provide scholastic materials like pens books etc and other needs. Our target is to register more children after putting the constructions and securing
funds. At the moment we have a staff of 8 people and we hope to get more as we grow. Our major concern is the establishment of a home for the homeless, orphans and vulnerable children, providing basic needs and other timely needs for the orphans and vulnerable children. Children constitute large percentage in Uganda and as Dream of Soul Foundation; we believe that a child should grow in a family environment and in an atmosphere of happiness, love, guidance and understanding. From a child’s physical and mental development, they need care in regard to physical, mental, moral and social development. But social indicators show a decline in social and economic welfare of children. Low levels of education among the whole population of the community has also attributed to the increasing number of orphans and street children as a result of HIV and AIDS scourge, poverty and poor health conditions. Once we secure funds it will be a permanent home for the other central region and Uganda as whole. In addition, this project will be sustained through accessing funds from global donors, well-wishers, and community participation. Student will engage in different activities like sports, cultural dances, and farming activities during their holidays. All the funds that will be got from the shows being put up by the children plus profits from the farming activities, will contribute to the children’s welfare.
