"I want to become a psychiatrist."

Those are the words that keep Fred motivated every day.
Meet Fred, a bright and determined young boy who has just begun his first year of secondary school. Like many children, he dreams of a better future—not only for himself, but for the people he hopes to help one day.

His dream is to become a psychiatrist—a doctor who cares for people struggling with mental health challenges. He wants to bring hope, healing, and comfort to those who need it most.

But today, that dream is hanging in the balance.
Fred's family is struggling to pay his school fees. Every school term brings uncertainty, and without support, he could be forced to leave school before he has the opportunity to pursue the future he dreams of.

While many children have already returned to their classrooms and continue their education, Haira remains at home because she lacks the financial support needed to stay in school.

Haira is currently in her third year of secondary education and has already completed half of her secondary school journey. She is a determined young girl with dreams and ambitions, yet those dreams are now at risk because of circumstances beyond her control.

Imagine working hard for years, only to face the possibility of dropping out when you are halfway to achieving your goal. No child should have to watch their classmates continue learning while they stay behind due to a lack of school fees.

At 17 years old, Fred should be starting his second term in Senior One. Instead, he is at home while his friends attend class.

Fred's journey has not been easy. He lost his mother, and his father disappeared, leaving him without parental care or support. Thankfully, through Youth With A Vision, Fred was welcomed into one of our foster families, where he has found safety, love, and stability.
