The organization’s initial focus is in 5 villages of Nyendo-Ssenyange Sub-county including; Kitovu, Bujja A & B, Buchulo, Kinsadde and Ssenyange B in Masaka District. The working area is a deliberate selection keeping the geographic, social, economic situation beside the presence of the target communities in those areas. However, with different development partners, there is an extension of organi
zation’s services in other parts of the district with people of lower strata of society who are marginalized economically and socially. with four projects as described below.
• Education Program. Under this program, the organizations focuses on sponsorship of the most identified marginalized children by providing scholastic materials and any other financial support for the child’s education
• Vocational Training. Through this program, BETEF provides training in different skills like; carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, paper making, candle making e.tc. These skills are provided with the purpose of changing people’s lives through engaging them in small profit making activities.
• Basic health for all. Under this area BETEF focuses on sensitization programmes for HIV and AIDS, water and sanitation, Provision of Adolescent Youth Friendly Health Services (AYFHS) and other Reproductive Health related services in the communities.
• Farming & Agricultural Program. Under this area the organization’s work focuses on Sustainable agriculture for both home and commercial consumption while minding nature and environmental management.
