GUARDIAN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
Education does not transform a young mother's life alone—it transforms when families choose to believe in her future.

On 8th May, Smile Again Families hosted a Guardian Empowerment Program, bringing together parents, guardians, and students who have returned to school through our Smiling Back to School Program.

Through open discussions, shared experiences, and practical learning, guardians reflected on the important role they play in helping teenage mothers stay in school and succeed. Together, we explored how encouragement at home, positive communication, and a supportive environment can make all the difference in a young mother's educational journey.

Many guardians expressed a renewed commitment to standing alongside their daughters and supporting their dreams. It was inspiring to witness honest conversations, strengthened family relationships, and a shared vision for a brighter future.

At Smile Again Families, we believe that lasting change happens when the whole family is empowered. When parents and guardians are equipped with knowledge and understanding, teenage mothers are better positioned to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Thank you to all the guardians and students who participated and made the day meaningful. Together, we are building stronger families and creating opportunities for young mothers to achieve their full potential.

''Become a young mother and burry your future''
This is the reality many teenage mothers face before they come to the Your Worth Summit.

For 5 days, we walk with them—restoring dignity, healing emotional wounds, building confidence, and helping them see a future again. We address their social, physical, spiritual, and emotional needs in a safe and supportive space.

And it works.
In the past years:
• 798 young mothers’ lives transformed
• 1,250 reached through our programs
• 50 community solidarity groups formed
• 6 mothers supported back to school

For many, this summit becomes the turning point—the moment they begin again.

📅 6th – 10th July YOUR WORTH SUMMIT 2026
But we cannot do this alone.

Each mother needs $55 to cover transport, meals, accommodation, and basic learning materials for the full 5 days.

One decision from you can change one life.

THE REALITY WE CANNOT IGNORE: A Story like her's Is Why the Work Must Continue

During our outreach this week with Katimba Health Center III, we met Sarah.
Sarah is only 15 years old, she is pregnant and her baby is due this month.
She is an orphan, she grew up with her mother’s family. But when her mother passed away, Sarah was chased by her maternal uncle off the only piece of land she had been left, due to cultural practices that deny inheritance from maternal side. "You don't belong to our clan, you shouldn't use our clan land" those are the words that still sound fresh in her ears.

With nowhere to go, she sought shelter with a boyfriend who later became violent and abandoned her during pregnancy.

Today, Sarah survives by staying with friends she met on the streets. She weighs only 45 kg. Some days, she goes without even two meals. “I just want my baby to be okay,” she told us.

Stories like Sarah’s are a painful reminder of why we do what we do. Behind every number is a girl fighting quietly for survival, dignity, and a second chance.

At Smile Again Families (SAF), we are committed to standing with girls like Sarah but we cannot do this alone.

We need your support. Your donation can provide essential care, nutrition, and hope for Sarah and many others like her. Support this work through https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=MZX6WAF96MQ4U

Together, we can restore dignity and give these girls a reason to smile again.

THE THREE YEARS' GREAT CAMPAIGN

There are moments in life when a single act of love can completely change a story.
Every day at Smile Again Families (SAF), we meet young girls and teenage mothers who believed their lives had come to an end—girls who dropped out of school, faced rejection, and lost hope for the future. Yet, through care, support, and opportunity, their stories begin again.

A Call to Restore Hope
Because of partners like you, these young mothers begin again. They return to school. They gain skills. They rebuild their confidence. They rediscover who they are created to be—strong, capable, and full of purpose.

Today, we invite you to be part of that transformation.

We are launching a 3-year campaign to raise USD 500,000, to sustain and expand our life-changing programs.

This is more than a fundraising goal.
It is a commitment to walk with hundreds of young women as they rebuild their lives.

A Simple Way to Make a Difference

We invite you to join this mission in a way that is meaningful to you:
Monthly Giving – Become a sustaining partner
Annual Giving – Support a full year of impact
One-Time Gift – Contribute to immediate needs

A Moment to Act
Every year without support is another year a young mother risks losing her future.
But together, we can change that story.
The timeline is three years.
The impact is lasting.
The call to act is now.

We invite you to prayerfully and generously join us in this Campaign.
Together, we can help them smile again.

With gratitude you can reach us with your support
