Sustainability Express

We turn the journey into the destination.

Sustainability Express brings innovators on board a night train, combining intense teamwork, expert mentorship, and real-world challenges to transform bold ideas into practical solutions for sustainable living.

07/09/2026

💡 The most impactful ideas rarely come from one industry, one organization, or one perspective.
That’s why Sustainability Express is proud to be part of the journey behind the 5th edition of Change Summit 2026 🌍a platform where business, science, policy, civil society, and innovation come together to turn dialogue into action.
📅 13–17 October | Bucharest
For five days, the city becomes a meeting point for keynote sessions, workshops, roundtables, community activities, and meaningful networking.
🏛️ At the heart of the week is the Main Event on 14 October at the Palace of Parliament, where international speakers and regional leaders will explore this year’s theme: Infrastructures of our Future.
🚆 We believe that building a more sustainable future starts with connecting people, ideas, and disciplines. We’re proud that Sustainability Express is part of this journey, and we hope you’ll join it too.

🚆 Exciting journeys are taking shape!
The team is putting the finishing touches on our end-of-2026 journey while also designing an exciting national and international programme for 2027🗺️
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing instability in the region, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Bucharest–Chișinău-Bucharest journey planned for autumn 2026. While we are disappointed that we won't be able to bring this route to life as soon as we had hoped, the safety of our participants, partners, and team will always come first. ❤️
The good news? More inspiring journeys are on the horizon, and we can't wait to reveal what's coming next. 🌍

Happy Children’s Day! 👧👦
Today, we celebrate not only children but also the parents, educators, mentors, volunteers, and professionals who dedicate their energy every day to building a better world for them🤝

At , we believe that sustainability is a journey that belongs to everyone, regardless of age. Our mission is to make knowledge, collaboration, and practical action accessible to both young people and adults, empowering them to become part of the solution.

On this Children’s Day, we renew our commitment to creating opportunities for learning, innovation, and positive impact, so that together we can leave behind a world that is healthier, fairer, and more resilient than the one we inherited 💪

💚 Get on this train.

Every edition of is built on a simple belief: meaningful innovation grows when different generations work side by side.
That’s why each team will include at least one high school student 🎓

This initiative is about more than participation. It’s about exposing students to a way of working that is creative, fast-paced, collaborative, and deeply connected to real-world challenges 🌍 It’s about giving them access to professionals who can inspire, guide, and sometimes completely reshape how they see their own future.

In the very first hackathon on a train in Romania, the students who joined were fully integrated into their teams🚀.

If you are a student ready to step into this kind of experience (or know someone who is), this is your invitation 🙌

Apply for the next Sustainability Express edition to Chișinău and join the journey 🚆

What if the school run could become safer, healthier, and less stressful? For everyone.
At the first edition of the hackathon, reimagined one of the most routine but overlooked daily challenges: getting children to school.
Their solution? A trusted neighborhood walking network where one parent walks their own child and safely picks up 1–3 nearby children on the way to school, making school runs organized, community-driven, and rewarding.

Why does this matter?
Because every morning means traffic, rush, and stress:
✔️ Parents lose valuable time
✔️ Children miss opportunities for independence and daily movement
✔️ Cities face unnecessary congestion and CO₂ emissions

Turma offers a smarter alternative:
✔️ Verified parent profiles and school-backed trust
✔️ Live route tracking with pickup and drop-off confirmation
✔️ A reward system that makes active mobility worth it
A new way to rebuild trust and community around schools.

👏 Huge congratulations to the team behind this idea:
Bucureci Andrei
Ioana Bitoleanu
Alexandru Despina
Omid Ghozatlou
If you're curious about the project, want to support it, or explore collaboration opportunities, now is the perfect time to connect.

🤝 Partnerships create impact when values, mindset, and ex*****on truly align.
🚆 Our first journey together with MIGSO-PCUBED showed exactly that. From business transformation and sustainability to collaboration and continuous improvement, we discovered a shared vision for building meaningful change🌱
👏 A special thank you to Stefania Duta for the guidance, mentorship, and support throughout this first edition.
✨ And this is only the beginning.
We’re preparing the next journey 🚄
