Medical Engineering Development (MED) is a democratic, independent, non-partisan, private legal entity with non patrimonial loss, organized according to laws nr. 26/2000 and 246/2005 student organization founded in 2016. MED resulted from the initiative of a group of Romanian students that wanted to address the need to offer real solutions in the matter of labor market integration of graduates of
the Faculty of Medical Engineering, University Politehnica of Bucharest. Presently, the main objective of MED association is to represent, promote and defend the rights of the students of the Faculty of Medical Engineering in relation to relevant entities at the Politehnica University of Bucharest, but also in the Municipality. In order to accomplish the main objective, MED association nominates the following activities:
a) Making and editing of books, periodicals, brochures, posters, software and other informational materials. b) Organization of training courses, seminars, conferences, public debates, as well as organizing marches, rallies and other public awareness activities under the existing law. c) Offering of consultancy and counseling in the area of medical engineering to people interested in this field. d) Development of self-sustained programs and in partnership with public authorities in the country and the European Union. e) Developing the field of technics and information in the medical area with economic activities. The organization is divided in six, well defined, interdependent departments, that aim to implement projects with national impact that will become reference events among students. The departments are:
