Adoption celebration for Neymar, now Arnie! 🎉

A huge thank you to flight angel Whitney for going above and beyond — she used her Frontier pass and arranged this amazing three-day journey, including an overnight stop at her Chicago home — all just for Arnie!

Now Arnie gets to enjoy the best life with his forever family ♥️

Meet Maya!

Maya and her buddies (Mila and Milo) were strays in Puerto Rico, and The Puerto Rico Dog Fund encountered them during our TNR efforts. We just couldn’t “R” (return) them because they were all so adoptable!

Maya is a muscular, red girl with a charming splash of white on her chest. She has medium energy, still greets humans with puppy enthusiasm, and has a wonderful temperament. Maya is about 17 months old, 37 lbs, fully vaccinated, and spayed. She’s smart and quickly learned leash walking with a little practice. She’s house trained and good with other dogs. We’re continuing to expose her to activities families love, like car rides, outdoor dining, and walks with other dogs — and she’s doing very well!

While Maya has slightly lower energy than her friends, don’t let that fool you — she loves to run and play!

Maya will be traveling from Puerto Rico to her foster home in the Puget Sound on October 27th, unless a permanent home is approved for her in another state (in which case, travel arrangements will be made). Only approved applicants will be granted meet & greets, so apply early for your chance to meet this sweet girl!

Meet Mila!

Mila and her buddies (Maya and Milo) were strays in Puerto Rico, and The Puerto Rico Dog Fund encountered them during our TNR efforts. We just couldn’t “R” (return) because they were all so adoptable! Milo has found his forever home, and Maya and Mila are ready for theirs!

Mila is about 17 months old, 42 lbs, fully vaccinated, and spayed. She is house trained and good with other dogs. Mila looks like she could be part gazelle with her long legs and looks like she’s wearing a decent amount of eyeliner! She has medium energy, and a puppy-like greeting when she meets new people. She has a great temperament, is smart, and learned leash walking very easily. We continue to expose her to activities families might enjoy: car rides, outdoor dining, walks with other dogs, and more — and she is doing fantastic!

Mila has the opportunity to travel from Puerto Rico to Portland, Oregon! Apply to adopt her today, and if approved, we can set up a meet & greet! Oregon friends please share this post!

Adoption celebration for Milo, now known as Benny! 🎉

Patrick and Daniella applied to adopt one of the dogs we listed, and after our detailed adoption interview, it was clear that another little guy was just meant for them. We truly listen to what owners are looking for and consider their lifestyle—helping both our pups and families find the perfect match is our top priority. We introduced them to Milo (who hadn’t even been posted yet), and we’re so grateful they trusted us and met him — it was an instant connection!

Milo is now Benny, the missing piece to their family.

A special thank you to Dr. Martinez for flying Buddy to his new forever home!

Adoption celebration for Messi, now known as Theodore!

World Cup puppy Messi (now Theodore) was adopted locally in Mayaguez, PR by Veronica’s family. PRDF had this litter from the time the babies were 2 days old and because Veronica is close, they were able to meet up for multiple visits until he was old enough to go home. They are so in love.

Thank you to Carla Casalduc for sharing our post to find potential adopters. Her Mama, Lizzy, was also one of our volunteers. It takes a village to rescue, care for, and then adopt to the perfect homes… mission accomplished!

A Special Day for Dude, Formerly Known as Diez!

Dude was found on the streets of Puerto Rico, and thanks to local volunteers, we were able to get him healthy and neutered.

From there, we got him all the way to Oregon. A special thanks to Amber, who drove him from Oregon to Seattle!

Once in Seattle, he was fostered by Allison, who ended up welcoming him into her family forever. Allison is a past PRDF adopter and has been a huge supporter—she even helped us with donation matching and volunteer hours program through the Gates Foundation!

From the photos, it’s clear that Dude has found his forever family—full of love, fun, and happiness.
