Portland Oregon friends we need your help!

Scooter is the last of his litter to find a forever home, and we’re not sure why. Here’s a little background about him: a local in Puerto Rico had an unexpected litter and reached out to us for help in finding loving homes for the puppies. We were able to get the mom spayed so she doesn’t have to go through this again.

Scooter has come so far! His first foster, Yoshiko, trained him well—he’s crate-trained and 98% potty-trained when paying attention to his cues. He hasn’t had any accidents at his current foster home. A special shoutout to his new foster Kiana for introducing him to his foster brother Sir Winston the pig! Scooter is slowly warming up to Sir Winston, and vice versa. He’s doing well on a leash and is interested in playing with cats. He is now 15 weeks old and a little over 20 pounds.

Happy adoption day to Tayo! 🎉

He was adopted by Sue in Vancouver, WA, and they’re already enjoying each other’s company. Sue takes Tayo everywhere, and he’s been getting more comfortable around other dogs. He quickly convinced her that his crate is optional — he’s a fantastic snuggle buddy!

Here’s to many more wonderful years for Tayo and Sue!

How has Scooter not been adopted yet!?

Sometimes our sweetest pups get overlooked, and we have no idea why! We like to think it’s because there’s a special person out there who needs him as much as he needs them…

He is part of a litter we took in after a local owner asked for help finding safe, loving homes for the puppies. We were able to spay his mom so she won’t have any more puppies!

He is 14 weeks old and weighs 14 lbs. We think he’ll be medium-sized when fully grown. Scooter is a big lover. He’s great with other dogs and respectfully curious about cats.

He is currently in an amazing foster home in Portland, Oregon, where he’s learning to master potty training and the puppy basics.

Meet Miss Cinderblock, aka Cindy B!

This sweet little girl is around 3-4 years old and weighs just 12 pounds, making her the perfect compact companion. She’s friendly, quiet, and loves to snuggle, and she gets along great with other dogs—just isn’t a fan of cats.

Scooter is still up for adoption in Portland, Oregon!

Scooter is an adorable 14 week old male puppy who is part of a litter we took in after a local owner asked for help finding safe, loving homes for the puppies. Our rescue focuses heavily on spay and neuter, and we were able to have mama dog spayed so she wont have to raise another litter again.

Scooter is incredibly loving, affectionate, playful, and full of puppy charm. Great with other dogs, respectfully curious about cats, and currently in foster in Portland where hes starting potty training and learning puppy basics.

Around 14 lbs now and expected to be medium-sized when fully grown. He’s received his 3 puppy booster vaccines and Bordetella vaccine so far. Rabies vaccine will still be needed when age-appropriate, and adopter-covered mandatory spay/neuter is required.

Meet Uma!

Her name is special, because it stands for “Unidad Motorizada Aguada” (Aguada Motorized Unit). She was rescued by our neighboring Aguada, PR police department when found alone on May 7th on a busy highway.

At her first vetting appointment the next day, the vet estimated her at 8 weeks old, so as of 6/4 she is 12 weeks old of puppy love, curiosity, snuggles, and shenanigans. She now weighs 14 lbs, and has received her first two puppy shots, Bordetela, and been on her NextGard Plus preventative meds. She is doing great in her PR foster, that has a few dogs of their own, and loves to explore the beach. She’s learning recall, and is a happy girl!

Uma will be in the Seattle or Portland area as of June 13th. If you are ready to welcome a new family member into your life, fill out an adoption application at www.prdf.org to be considered as her forever home!
