Meet Diez!

Diez is a 9-month-old puppy full of love and energy. He’s playful, joyful, and making great progress with his manners and patience.

Diez is cautious around kitties but loves to play with them! If they swat at him, he happily runs away 😂. He gets along wonderfully with all dogs and enjoys playing with them.

He’s affectionate, attentive, and a true “Velcro Dog”—he always wants to be near his humans, but he’s not a whiner. He’s 90% potty trained and already used to puppy pens, where he happily naps with his favorite chewies and then comes out ready to play. He sleeps peacefully through the night with no fuss or accidents.

Diez is a food-motivated learner and is starting to get the hang of leash walking. He’s especially attentive when he sees cheese in human pockets!

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY ❤️

A huge part of rescue is EDUCATION! 💡🐾

Meet Ismay — a young activist who reached out to PRDF this week after meeting adoptable puppies . She wanted to ask questions and learn more about rescue work for a paper she’s writing.

We took Ismay and her mom Sara to meet Benny and Mo, two of our adult pups. She got to love on them, walk them, hear their stories, and see a spay transport to Animal Medical Clinic in Cabo Rojo.

Now… she’s inspired to volunteer more, her mom plans to foster on their next trip here in Rincón, and they both want to help fly dogs from PR to NY for us!

Get inspired by the next generation making a difference. 12-year-olds today, a better world tomorrow.

We’re constantly blown away by the love and teamwork that make moments like this possible. A huge thank you to everyone who helped Ralph find his forever home.

It all started with a local woman asking for help rehoming her puppies. Luckily, we had local fosters to help us. We also made sure the mama dog was spayed so she won’t have to go through another litter.

And then we had to figure out how to get Ralph to his forever home… where do we begin!?

Thanks to Allison and her daughter for picking him up, fostering him overnight, and sending us the sweetest drawing!
