Meet Benji. ❤️

This sweet senior boy is the newest intake at Barks of Hope.

Benji was lovingly rescued by an independent rescuer, Maria, who did everything she could to care for him. Unfortunately, due to her declining health, she is no longer able to provide the care he needs. When we learned about his situation, we knew we couldn’t let him face an uncertain future alone.

So today, Benji officially becomes part of the Barks of Hope family.

Despite everything he’s been through, Benji remains gentle, trusting, and incredibly sweet. As with many senior dogs who have spent years without consistent veterinary care, he has a few medical needs that we’re already addressing. Right now, he’s dealing with what appears to be a painful ear infection and will need a veterinary examination, treatment, and medication to get him feeling comfortable again.

We are committed to giving Benji the care, comfort, and love he deserves during this next chapter of his life. Senior dogs are often overlooked, but they have so much love left to give, and we are honored to be part of his journey.

Dogs 25 lbs and under available for adoption 🐾.

All of them are:
• Spayed/neutered
• Vaccinated
• 4DX negative
• Up to date on preventatives

They are also very social with both people and other dogs. 💛
