SEÑORITAS OF SERVICE (S.O.S.) — HONORING A LEGACY THAT MUST NEVER BE FORGOTTEN 🇺🇸
In 1944, approximately 200 Puerto Rican women answered the call to serve our country during World War II. Their courage, sacrifice, strength, and dedication helped pave the way for generations of women who followed.
For far too long, many of their stories have gone unrecognized. Señoritas of Service is changing that.
On September 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM, we invite you to join us at the Newark Public Library, Media Room – 3rd Floor, 5 Washington Street, Newark, NJ, as we honor these remarkable Puerto Rican women and preserve their legacy for future generations.
This is more than an event. It is a mission to remember their names, preserve their stories, educate our communities, and ensure their service is never forgotten.
We welcome veterans, families, community organizations, businesses, educators, sponsors, supporters, and community leaders to stand with us.
