✈️ 𝗢𝗝𝗧 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗦 BROKERS | 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗘 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Trece Martires City College – School of Governance and Administration successfully conducted the BS Customs Administration On-the-Job Training (OJT) Orientation for the third-year students in preparation for their internship deployment.

The activity was attended by Mr. Paul John C. Madrigal, PHD (CAR), Vice President for Academic Affairs; Mr. Franco B. Pelayo, MBA, MPA, Dean of the School of Governance and Administration; Ms. Abegail Nuylan, LCB, MBA (CAR), BSCA Program Head and OJT Coordinator; BSCA Faculty; the officers of the Philippine Society of Customs Administration Students (PSCAS) – TMCC Chapter; and BSCA students who will soon embark on their industry immersion journey.

The orientation served as a vital platform for discussing internship guidelines, institutional policies, workplace expectations, professional ethics, and the responsibilities that students must uphold throughout their training period. It also provided students with valuable insights into the realities of the customs brokerage, logistics, and international trade industries, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge, mindset, and professionalism necessary for a successful internship experience.

This initiative reflects the core values of Trece Martires City College. Truth and Integrity were emphasized through discussions on ethical conduct and accountability in the workplace. Model of Excellence was promoted by encouraging students to maintain high standards of professionalism and performance throughout their training. Competence and Commitment were reinforced by preparing students to apply their academic knowledge and develop industry-relevant skills. Lastly, Community-Orientedness was demonstrated by fostering meaningful collaboration among students, faculty members, institutional leaders, and industry partners in support of student success and professional growth.

Furthermore, the activity aligns with the CHED ACHIEVE Framework by advancing Academic Excellence, Cultivating Competence, and Enhancing Employability. Through these efforts, TMCC continues to strengthen its commitment to producing globally competitive, industry-ready, and values-driven graduates.

The orientation also contributes to the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing relevant and experiential learning opportunities, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by preparing students for meaningful employment and professional practice, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through sustained collaboration between the institution and industry stakeholders.

As the future Customs Brokers of TMCC prepare to enter the professional world, this orientation marks an important milestone in their journey toward excellence, competence, and service.

All Third-Year Customs Administration students are hereby informed that the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Orientation will be held on 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Thursday from 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 at 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗛𝟮𝟬𝟮. The orientation will cover important information regarding OJT requirements and other matters related to the internship program. ✨️

All attendees are required to 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 and arrive on time. Your presence will be significant as this orientation will serve as an important preparation for your upcoming internship experience. This is one step closer to becoming a customs professional. 💙

Held last May 11, PSCAS-TMCC Chapter proudly highlights the successful conduct of the “Beyond Boundaries: Customs and Tariffs Webinar Series – Series 1: International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS).” This initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to empowering holistic and globally competitive students who are equipped with knowledge, skills, and values that contribute meaningfully to society.

Anchored on TMCC’s mission of providing high-quality education to students, this webinar served as a platform for learning beyond the classroom—strengthening students’ understanding of international trade practices and customs administration while fostering academic and professional growth.

In alignment with TMCC’s core values, the activity promoted excellence in performance, integrity in learning, and competence in global trade concepts, while fostering meaningful engagement among students, faculty, and industry practitioners.

This initiative was made possible through the valuable collaboration with 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐧 𝐂. 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐳𝐚, 𝐂𝐁, 𝐌𝐂𝐀 and in partnership with 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐏 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 with 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐳𝐚 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐬 & 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐟 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐬, whose expertise and support significantly contributed to the success and quality of the webinar.

This initiative also supports the CHED Higher Education Agenda Framework by enhancing the quality of instruction, strengthening academe-industry linkages, and preparing students to become globally competitive professionals.

Furthermore, the webinar contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:

• SDG 4 – Quality Education: ensuring inclusive and equitable access to meaningful learning opportunities
• SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth: equipping students with industry-relevant knowledge for future careers in trade and logistics
• SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: fostering collaboration between academe and industry experts
