Wasting rates remain at 6โ€“8%. Stunting has only dropped by 1% per year, far below the 2.2โ€“2.5% needed to meet our national targets. This isn't just a health crisis. It's a governance crisis. Poor coordination, underinvestment in early childhood care, and widespread food insecurity continue to hold our children back from the future they deserve. Ending malnutrition is a question of better governance, not better intentions.

Sen. Risa Hontiveros on Monday questioned the functionality of government-funded health facilities under the Department of Healthโ€™s (DoH) Health Facilities Enhancement Program.

Hontiveros also raised concerns over alleged conflicts of interest within the Department of Health, saying such issues should not be normalized given the scale of public funds involved.

Ang resolusyong ito ay naglalayong baguhin ang nakasanayang practice na maaaring hindi na angkop sa kasalukuyang panahon, at palitan ito ng mas respeto, patas, at progresibong sistema sa mga youth sports activities.

60B RETURNED TO PHILHEALTH

The 60 billion in Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) funds previously transferred to the National Treasury have been returned to the agency.

โ€œSisiguruhin ng Korporasyon na ang bawat pisong ito ay ilalaan sa pagpapahusay ng mga benepisyo, pagpapalakas ng mga sistema upang mapabilis ang mga proseso, at paghatid sa bawat Pilipino ng serbisyong mabilis, patas, at tunay na mapagkakatiwalaan,โ€ PhilHealthโ€™s statement reads.

The P60 billion forms part of the P89.9 billion in unused PhilHealth funds.

Pero hindi nawala ang problema. Inilipat lang. Sa halip, isiniksik at itinago ang mga kaduda-dudang programa sa Programmed Appropriations, Special Purpose Funds, at iba pa.
