𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗦

The Gender and Development Club proudly presents the new set of leaders who will serve for the Academic Year 2026–2027.

Following the screening conducted on April 2, 2026, and a thorough evaluation process, the Club has officially recognized the candidates who have demonstrated excellence, commitment, and a strong sense of leadership as the newly appointed officers.

Among all the applicants, only those who exhibited the passion, competence, and dedication to uphold and further the Club’s advocacy were selected. These individuals have shown not only their capability to lead but also their readiness to continue the legacy established by the previous administration.

As they take on this responsibility, the newly appointed officers are expected to champion inclusivity, promote gender awareness, and strengthen the voice of the organization within the school community.

With fresh perspectives and unwavering determination, these new faces are set to lead with purpose, continuing the mission of empowering every individual, regardless of gender, and fostering a more inclusive and progressive environment for all.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: 𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳

The Gender and Development (GAD) Club conducted its official screening of aspiring officers on April 2, 2026, marking a significant step in selecting the next set of student leaders who will continue to champion inclusivity and gender development within the school community.

Held as part of the club’s leadership transition, the activity gathered applicants who demonstrated readiness to take on roles anchored in service, equality, and advocacy. Candidates presented their intentions, showcasing both their competence and commitment to uphold the club’s mission.

The screening process was spearheaded by outgoing President John Emmanuel Torres and Outgoing Senior High School Assistant Coordinator and External Head Sean Jacob Cristobal. The two leaders ensured a fair and thorough evaluation of each applicant, drawing from their experience as active GADvocates who have consistently served the organization with dedication throughout the academic year.

The initiative aims to sustain the club’s efforts in promoting awareness, respect, and inclusivity among students, while empowering future leaders to take an active role in advancing gender-responsive programs.

As the screening concludes, the GAD Club moves forward in its mission to develop leaders who will amplify voices, create safe spaces, and strengthen a culture of inclusivity within the school community.

As we celebrate Women’s Month and bid farewell to our outgoing GAD Officers, we are reminded that every ending opens the door to a new beginning. With this transition, the soon-to-be-elected officers are called to take initiative and continue the club’s advocacy with passion and purpose.

We are pleased to announce the names of the qualified applicants who will proceed to the screening for officer positions for the School Year 2026–2027.

As of today, all Gender and Development (GAD) Club officer positions are officially vacant and will be filled by the next set of aspiring student leaders.

The outgoing officers extend their warmest wishes and good luck to all candidates.

We also remind everyone that the Gender and Development Club shall continue to uphold its advocacy—ensuring that every voice is heard and every individual is seen, regardless of color, race, or gender.

𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀, 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀

Yesterday, March 25, 2026, the Quezon City Gender and Development (GAD) Council, in partnership with Plan International Philippines, successfully conducted a meaningful seminar at the Bulwagan ng Daluyan.

In line with the celebration of Women’s Month, the activity aimed to promote awareness of women’s rights, gender equality, and sexual and reproductive health. The discussion highlighted the importance of creating safe spaces for girls and empowering them to become confident, informed, and active members of society.

Through engaging discussions and interactive participation, students were able to deepen their understanding of key issues affecting women and girls today. The seminar served as a reminder that empowering girls is a shared responsibility—one that begins within our school community.

Together, we continue to stand for a future where every girl is safe, heard, and empowered.

Today, March 8, 2026, we celebrate International Women’s Day, a day that recognizes the strength, dignity, and immeasurable contributions of women who continue to shape our communities, institutions, and the world.

Yet in the past few weeks, just days before the opening of Women’s Month, we have witnessed troubling behavior from individuals in positions of influence. Some have used their power not to uplift, but to objectify women—reducing them to appearances, making comparisons, and imposing assumptions that undermine their dignity.

Such statements and actions are not only irresponsible; they are deeply inconsistent with the values of leadership and respect that society should uphold. Leadership demands integrity, accountability, and above all, respect for every person’s humanity.

Let this serve as a reminder—especially to those who hold positions of authority and influence—that 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙗𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙨, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙨𝙪𝙗𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙗𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.. They are individuals deserving of dignity, equality, and respect.
