This Pride Month, represented by our Chief of Advocacy Valentino Maximo, TmPH joined Stonewall Philippines, Bahaghari, Metro Manila Pride, Be Glad, and various drag queens as guests of Rep. of during today's regular session at the House of Representatives.

TmPH stands in solidarity within the plenary to call for genuine liberation for LGBTQ+ Filipinos. We call to end all forms of discrimination, abuse, poverty, and corruption that plague our trans siblings. We call for genuine access to healthcare, education, economic opportunities, and legal recognition for all transpinoys and transpinays.

Pride is a protest! Happy Pride Month!

The Society of Trans Women of the Philippines (STRAP), through Project Kierra, calls on CSOs, individuals, feminist allies, and human rights defenders to stand with us in confronting transfemicide and anti-trans violence. As we approach International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) this May, we are strengthening a unified call for justice, accountability, and protection of trans lives. 📢✊🏼

🔔 UPDATE: Ang mga miyembro ng STRAP, PFTM, TmPH, UP GLPP, at iba pa ay nagsagawa ng isang learning workshop para sa Legal Gender Recognition.

Habang diskusyon ang LGR Bill at patuloy pinag-uusapan ang mga needs, issues, at experiences ng community, mas lalo naming nararamdaman ang importansya ng araw na ito, ang International Trans Day of Visibility. 🩷🩵

Hindi lang ito tungkol sa pagiging visible, kundi sa pag-acknowledge ng estado ng ating komunidad at sa patuloy na panawagan na tayo ay makilala-- sa ating karapatan, dignidad, at higit sa lahat, sa ating pangalan.

Visibility matters. Recognition matters more. ✊🏳️‍⚧️

Patuloy ang trabaho, patuloy ang pakikinig, at patuloy ang laban para sa pagkilala sa ating identidad at karapatan. ✊

Isang araw para kilalanin at ipagdiwang ang mga trans at gender diverse na Pilipino—at patuloy na magbigay-liwanag sa discrimination at mga laban na kinakaharap ng komunidad. 🏳️‍⚧️✊

Isa sa mga patuloy nating ipinaglalaban ang Legal Gender Recognition, dahil kasunod ng visibility ay ang mas mahalagang hakbang: ang tunay na pagkilala sa atin.
