Where it used to offer short-term palliatives, it now offers a

wider array of humanitarian services ranging from preventive medicine to therapeutic counseling, to youth leadership.

At the Sta. Ana Covered Court in San Mateo, Rizal, the Philippine Red Cross Rizal Chapter continued its humanitarian response on August 11, 2026, bringing not only food, but also care and health protection to families affected by the ongoing situation.

A total of 1,236 individuals received hot meals—a simple serving that offered warmth, comfort, and a reminder that they are not alone.

Our team also strengthened health awareness in the community, distributing 900 flyers on leptospirosis prevention and reminding families about the risks of exposure to contaminated floodwater and the importance of seeking medical attention when symptoms appear.

At the First Aid Station:
ā¤ļø 15 individuals received first aid management
🩺 7 individuals received blood pressure monitoring

Beyond the numbers are people—families doing their best to get through difficult days, and volunteers who continue to show up with compassion and service.

In times of need, the Philippine Red Cross Rizal Chapter is there—one meal, one first-aid response, and one life-saving health message at a time.

šŸ„£ā¤ļø A Warm Bowl of Arroz Caldo, Prepared with Heart

Behind every bowl of arroz caldo is a team of volunteers who continue to give their time, energy, and hearts to communities affected by the southwest monsoon (Habagat) in Rizal Province.

With smiles on their faces and tireless hands at work, our volunteers are preparing a simple meal—but for families facing difficult days, a warm bowl of arroz caldo can mean comfort, hope, and a reminder that they are not alone.

It may be simple food, but it carries something much greater: the spirit of humanity and compassion.

To our dedicated volunteers, thank you for showing that in times of need, even the simplest act of kindness can make a difference. ā¤ļø

As the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to bring heavy rains, the Philippine Red Cross – Rizal Chapter reached families seeking safety at the JRF Cupang Evacuation Center in Barangay Cupang, Muntinlupa City on August 10, 2026.

Through the generous support of Gardenia, fresh bread was shared with 3 families, with 18 loaves distributed—a simple gesture that brought comfort during a difficult time.

But our response went beyond food. Our team also provided:
šŸ“– 5 Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials
🧠 2 Psychological First Aid interventions
🩺 2 Vital Signs Monitoring

Behind every number is a family, a story, and a community doing its best to stay strong.

In times of rain and uncertainty, the Philippine Red Cross remains where help is needed—bringing relief, care, and hope closer to the people.
