🔹 Cost avoidance prevents a future or expected cost from occurring.
🔹 Process improvements and collaboration can create savings, avoid future costs, or deliver broader business value.

The key is to measure these benefits transparently, use a clear baseline, and avoid treating every favorable procurement outcome as the same type of saving.
