DEVCON Legazpi was honored to be invited as guest speakers during the Summer Camp 2026 organized by the SK Council of Managa-Naga, held at Odella Beach Resort.

Representing DEVCON Legazpi were Gerry Yan Landeza, VP for Campus Program of Sorsogon Province, and Ely Gojar, VP for Kids Program. Gerry Yan Landeza discussed Cybersecurity and the importance of becoming digitally smart and responsible in today’s online world. Meanwhile, Ely Gojar shared meaningful insights about Artificial Intelligence and its role in Wildlife Conservation, inspiring the youth to use technology for innovation and environmental awareness.

Thank you to the SK Council of Managa-Naga for the warm invitation and for giving us the opportunity to inspire and empower the youth through technology, innovation, and digital responsibility. Together, we continue building a safer, smarter, and AI-ready community.

Geek and Greet v2.0: *Spicing Up the Stack* was more than just a meetup — it was a celebration of the people behind the community. From meaningful conversations to shared experiences, this night reminded us that DEVCON Legazpi continues to grow because of the amazing volunteers who keep showing up and building together.

We’re also proud to have student volunteers from SSU - Bulan Campus, CSPC, BU, CAT College, NCF, PITA, and DWCL, alongside a representative from the NICE - Naga Interschool Computer Enthusiasts community. Seeing different schools and communities come together for tech and collaboration made the event even more special. 💙

Charting the course for the future of tech! 🚀 Last April 28, DEVCON Legazpi Chapter VP for External Affairs, Carl Andre Bongalos, took the stage at the Divine Word College of Legazpi for the CSIT Days 2026, delivering an engaging keynote on Career Path Navigation. Showing strong support for the next generation of tech leaders, DEVCON Legazpi President JP Remar Serrano—who also serves as the CSIT Society’s adviser—and Executive Vice President Kadmiel Ross Baiño were also present to grace the event.

The talk explored the boundless opportunities awaiting today’s Information Technology and Computer Science graduates. Unpacking the realities of the modern global landscape, "Sir Carl" shared a practical roadmap for students looking to unlock the dynamic "Work-From-Anywhere" lifestyle.

His biggest message? You are not boxed into just one path. Beyond the syntax and the screens, a tech degree builds a powerful "problem-solving engine." Those late-night debugging sessions are actively building the resilience and complex critical thinking needed to adapt, pivot, and thrive. Whether you venture into hardcore development, UI/UX design, or Web3 marketing, that foundation is what makes you globally competitive.

He wrapped up the afternoon with one final takeaway: Your hard skills will get you the job, but your community and network will build your career.

Kicking off their three-day celebration under the theme “Tech Unleashed: Where Creativity Meets Codes,” our team set up a booth on Day 1 at the SLTCFI Main school grounds as well as participate in their events.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗟. 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘇, 𝗞𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗕. 𝗕𝗮𝗶ñ𝗼, 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮, 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀.

It was an incredible experience engaging with the students at our booth and showcasing what we do, sharing the DEVCON spirit, and seeing their high energy and passion for technology reminds us of the importance of building a strong, supportive community where creativity truly meets code.
We’re incredibly grateful to the SLTCFI CCS Department for opening their doors and allowing us to be part of this major milestone.

Looking forward to crossing paths with these brilliant students again as they continue their tech journeys!
