The Sangguniang Kabataan ng Matanag has successfully implemented this year’s most awaiting leadership training entitled 𝗨𝗦𝗪𝗔𝗚 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗜𝗜𝗜: 𝗜𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 with the Theme: “Empowering Unity, Sustaining Growth, and Awakening Leadership” that will was held on June 5-7, 2026 at Odella Beach Resort, Santa Magdalena, Sorsogon.

On its first day, the event started with an Opening Ceremony followed by the orientation of the rules and regulations. In the afternoon, a teamwork activity was executed entitled “What’s my Piece in the Puzzle?”. In the evening, a yell, flag, and talent show competition has been done followed by the Mr. and Ms. USWAG 2026 that has segments such us production number, summer wear attire, and Eco-fashion attire.

The first day was bombarded with so many activities that tested their teamwork and leadership skills. But, these youth leaders overcome all the challenges.

The Matanag Youth Organization is now opening applications for the Junior Council. We are calling on passionate, driven, and committed youth who are ready to take responsibility and become instruments of change in our community.

𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗦𝗟𝗢𝗧𝗦 are available for individuals who are not afraid to step forward, speak up, and serve with purpose. This is more than just a position, it is a chance to grow, to lead, and to make a lasting impact.
