Students of Eastern Visayas Central Colleges (EVCC) took part in the observance of World Restart a Heart Day on the morning of October 16, 2026, where they learned the basics of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and put their knowledge into practice through hands-on demonstrations guided by Philippine Red Cross volunteers.

The activity highlighted the importance of knowing how to respond during emergencies and how learning basic life-saving skills can help make a difference when someone needs immediate assistance.

For EVCCians who wish to take their interest in first aid and community service further, the Philippine Red Cross – Northern Samar Chapter invites aspiring volunteers to visit the chapter on October 24, 2026, at Barangay Dalakit, Catarman, Northern Samar, and learn more about joining the Red Cross volunteer community.

Yesterday, the Philippine Red Cross – Northern Samar Chapter (PRC-NSC) conducted a Global Handwashing Day celebration at Pambujan 1 Central School, Pambujan, Northern Samar, to promote proper handwashing practices and raising awareness about the importance of hand washing and proper hygiene in preventing diseases and protecting public health.
Through this initiative, we continue to encourage everyone, especially our young learners, to make proper handwashing a daily habit for a healthier, safer, and cleaner community. 🫧🤲
Together, let us make clean hands a priority and turn good hygiene into a lifelong habit!

We will be having our volunteer recruitment also known as the Basic Volunteer Orientation Course (BVOC) on October 24, 2026 (Saturday) 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Red Cross Building, Capitol Site, Catarman, Northern Samar.

As a premier humanitarian organization, we run with the aid of the Volunteers. Our service delivery is empowered by the Volunteers' time, treasure, and talent, especially in these trying times.

𝙐𝙀𝙋-𝙈𝘼𝙄𝙉 𝙍𝙊𝙏𝘾 𝘾𝙋𝙍 𝘾𝘼𝙍𝘼𝙑𝘼𝙉

Earlier today the Philippine Red Cross Northern Samar Chapter conducted a CPR Caravan at the UEP Volleyball Court, in collaboration with the UEP-Main ROTC.

The activity was facilitated by 13 volunteers including the 3 trained volunteer facilitators and 1 Chapter staff, who shared essential knowledge and hands-on skills in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and emergency response. Through this initiative, participants were trained with lifesaving skills that can help save lives during critical situations.

The Philippine Red Cross - Northern Samar Chapter remains committed to strengthening community preparedness and promoting a culture of first aid, safety, and lifesaving action.

The Philippine Red Cross – Northern Samar Chapter is pleased to announce its upcoming First Aid Training Programs for individuals, organizations, and companies looking to strengthen their knowledge and skills in times of emergency response and basic life support.

𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙪𝙥𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
·Standard First Aid Training (SFAT) – November 17–20, 2026
·Occupational First Aid Training (OFAT) – November 23–24, 2026
·Emergency First Aid Training (EFAT) – November 25, 2026

These trainings are designed to equip participants with essential first-aid and emergency response skills and will be conducted by the Philippine Red Cross – Northern Samar Chapter, an authorized first-aid and basic life support training provider compliant with national safety laws.

Earlier today the EMS Team responded to a in labor Emergency Call at 1238H, at Brgy. McKinley, Catarman Northern Samar.

The patient complain and reported about the contractions. The team provided reassurance, pre-hospital care and monitoring to the patient and transported the patient to the NSPH.

The PRC Northern Samar Chapter will continue to uphold it's mission of providing compassionate care and alleviating human suffering during emergencies.

The Philippine Red Cross Northern Samar Chapter EMS team responded to a medical emergency call at 1044H, UEP Town Catarman Northern Samar.

The team provided compassionate and medical assistance to the patient and the patient quickly transported to the NSPH for further Medical care and assesment.

The PRC-NSC EMS team will continue to serve everyone and guided by it's Humanitarian principles!

Earlier today the Philippine Red Cross- Northern Samar Chapter EMS Team responded to a emergency call at 5:13 AM at Brgy. Mckinley, Catarman Northern Samar for a Vehicular Accident.

The Team provided a pre-hospital care and assesment to the patient and transported the patient to the hospital for further medical assistance and treatment.

This initiative and services of the Philippine Red Cross Northern Samar Chapter will continue in order to help those in needs.

The Philippine Red Cross – Northern Samar Chapter, through its Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team, responded to an emergency call and deployed its ambulance to provide immediate medical assistance and transport of the patient.

Earlier today at 0744H the EMS team responded to Brgy. Washington, Catarman Northern Samar for a Medical Emergency. The team provided immediate emergency medical assistance and appropriate care to the patient/s before transporting them to Northern Samar Provincial Hospital for further medical assistance.

The Philippine Red Cross – Northern Samar Chapter continues to remain committed to providing prompt and compassionate emergency medical services to the community.

EMPOWERING THE HUMANITY WITH LIFE SAVING SKILLS TRAINING!

Earlier Today, the Philippine Red Cross – Northern Samar Chapter conducted a CPR Caravan and Stop the Bleed Training at Roxas Elementary School, Mondragon, Northern Samar, together with the Teachers, Students and other Parents and our Volunteers and Facilitators.

The activity provided participants with essential knowledge and hands-on skills in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and bleeding control, empowering teachers, staff, and participants to respond confidently during emergencies.

Together, let us continue to build a community that is ready and equipped with the skills to save lives.
