Lagi’t-lagi, ang health care ay dapat proteksiyunan.

Nakasalalay ang mga sugatan at may sakit sa agarang gamutan. Tuwing may kaguluhan, sinisikap pa rin ng mga doktor, nurse, at first responders na tumugon; sa kabila ng kanilang mahalagang tungkulin, maging ang buhay nila ay kadalasang nalalagay sa panganib.

Ang pagprotekta sa health care ay hindi lamang pagtalima sa international humanitarian law (IHL) — ito rin ay pagrespeto sa dignidad at karapatang tao. Ito ay ang:
🚑 pagrespeto at hindi pag-alintala ng mga medical evacuations,
🏥 pagtiyak ng safe access para sa mga pasyente; at
🩺✅ pagpayag sa mga health workers na gampanan ang kanilang tungkulin nang walang takot o pangamba.

Patuloy naming pinapaalala sa mga awtoridad, weapon bearers, at mga komunidad na respetuhin ang mga batas ng giyera upang masiguro ang health care sa panahon ng giyera.

📍April 20-23, 2026(4days) Standard First Aid with BLS and CPR and AED Training Course
📍April16-17, 2026 (2days) Occupational First Aid Training with BLS and CPR and AED Training Course

This training is accredited by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and conducted by the Philippine Red Cross, an accredited training provider of First Aid based on DOLE Department Order No. 198, Series of 2018.

Mainit kanina, tapos biglang umulan? 🤔☀️🌧️

Tuwing Marso, karaniwang nakakaranas ang Pilipinas ng dalawang weather systems.

Ang Northeast Monsoon o Amihan ay nagdadala ng malamig at tuyong hangin mula sa hilagang bahagi ng Asya. Samantala, ang Easterlies naman ay nagdadala ng maiinit at mamasa-masang hangin mula sa Pacific Ocean, lalo na sa silangang bahagi ng bansa.

Kapag nag-iipon ang init sa maghapon at humahalo sa halumigmig na dala ng easterlies, maaari itong magdulot ng mabilis na pagbuo ng ulap na nagreresulta sa biglaang pag-ulan o pagkulog at pagkidlat sa hapon.

Kaya naman posibleng napakainit sa tanghali, pero biglang uulan pagdating ng hapon sa maraming lugar sa bansa, tulad ng naranasan natin ngayon.

Kaya paalala mula sa PRC, magdala ng payong at maging updated sa tamang weather advisories. Ingat po, mga kababayan! ☂️

Healthy Habits Start with Knowledge!

The Philippine Red Cross – Northern Samar Chapter conducted an engaging WASH and Health Awareness Lecture at Sumoray Agro-Industrial High School in Palapag, Northern Samar, reaching 137 enthusiastic students eager to learn how to protect their health.

The session covered essential topics such as personal hygiene, proper garbage disposal, sanitation, prevention of waterborne diseases, safe drinking water, proper food handling, and food safety. Students also learned about the prevention and awareness of dengue, leptospirosis, and common illnesses like ubo and sipon.

This meaningful activity was made possible through the dedication of our volunteers Ceejay Balading, Aaliyah Bianes, Famela Rose Balberan, Alina Barandino, and Judith Olchondra, who shared their time and knowledge to inspire the youth to practice healthy habits every day.

Together, we continue building healthier and more resilient communities through education and awareness.
