On October 1, 2026, the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers-Student Chapter University of Easter Philippines-Main (IIEE-SC UEP-Main) took part in the Induction of Officers and Oath-Taking Ceremony held at the UEP Centennial Building.

The ceremony, alongside our College of Engineering Dean, Dr. Rem N. Laodeรฑo, marked a significant milestone for the newly inducted officers as they formally accepted their responsibilities and pledged their commitment to serve the organization and the Electrical Engineering community.

The program officially concluded with a photo opportunity, capturing a moment of unity among the newly inducted officers as they begin their journey of leadership and service to the Electrical Engineering community.

September 28, 2026, the officers of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers Student Chapterโ€“University of Eastern Philippines Main Campus (IIEE-SC UEP-Main) conducted a restoration activity at Room 103 of the College of Engineering Building.

The activity began with the cleaning of the roomโ€™s windows and doors, followed by mopping the floor to improve the cleanliness and overall condition of the space.

As part also of the restoration, the officers recreated the โ€œElectrical Engineeringโ€ wall lettering, giving the room a refreshed and more presentable appearance for students.

Through the collective efforts of the IIEE-SC UEP-Main officers, Room 103 was restored into a cleaner and more organized space. This initiative reflects the organizationโ€™s commitment to maintaining a comfortable and conducive environment for students within the College of Engineering.

The IIEE-UEPSC, as the official professional student organization of the Electrical Engineering Department of the College of Engineering, has the purpose of serving the general welfare of all our students. We aim to ensure that students appreciate university-based and college-based student-related events and activities through their active participation, camaraderie, and freedom of expression.

In the middle of Balik Kampus 2026, we witnessed unprofessional actions that questioned academic freedom and integrity. From a single banner that represented The Pillarโ€™s empowering message, we witnessed oppressive suppression rather than intelligent debate, including an apparent attempt to confiscate it. This raises concerns regarding the exercise of administrative authority and its implications for studentsโ€™ freedom of expression.

For us, this issue goes beyond a single banner. It is about creating a university environment where students can speak, question, criticize, and participate responsibly without fear of unnecessary silencing. Differences in opinion should be met with respect and transparency, not silence.

The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers - Student Chapter (IIEE-SC) UEP-Main held its 1st Regular Meeting on September 4, 2026, at the EE Laboratory Room of the College of Engineering Building.

The agenda discussed were as follows: The meeting covered the appointment of Associate Officers, Directors, and Assistants, the implementation of the General Plan and Actions (GPOA) for A.Y. 2026โ€“2027, allocation of funds, and other matters. During the discussion of the GPOA, the organization emphasized its plans and preparations for the IIEE 21st Student Congress.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 AM and served as the first step toward strengthening the IIEE organization, establishing its plans and direction, and preparing for its activities and responsibilities for A.Y. 2026โ€“2027.
