Earlier today, the Volunteers Organization, Spectrum, and the GAD Office came together in celebration of Women’s Month through a meaningful seminar on Equity and Inclusion.

This event reminded us that creating opportunities is not just about opening doors, but about making sure everyone has the support and resources they need to grow, participate, and thrive.

Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to today’s conversation. Together, we continue to build a community where diversity is valued and everyone is empowered.

Yesterday, September 29, 2025, the Volunteers Organization had the opportunity to join the Guidance and Counseling Unit and the GAD Office for the seminar “Mind Over Matter: Strengthening Resilience in the Modern World and Promoting GAD Awareness” at the University of Rizal System – Cainta Campus. 🏫

Two inspiring talks were delivered:
🔹 Mind Over Matter: Strengthening Mental Resilience in the Modern World by Mrs. Eleanor Ann Sierra, Guidance Counselor – Antipolo National High School.

🔹 Promoting GAD Awareness for the Prevention of Gender-Based Offenses in URS by Prof. Joy Dee R. Fernandez, Campus Guidance Counselor / GAD Coordinator.

We’re truly grateful to be part of this meaningful event, which empowered first-year students to strengthen their resilience and deepen their awareness of gender equality—helping foster a safer and more inclusive campus community for everyone. 💙✨

On September 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM, first-year students of the University of Rizal System Cainta Campus gathered at room 401-402, Academic Bldg. for the seminar:

“𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗥𝗦.”

The activity is organized by the Guidance and Counseling Unit and the Gender and Development Office to promote mental resilience and increase awareness on the prevention of gender-based offenses within the University.

The event will tackle the following topics:

Topic 1: Mind Over Matter: Strengthening Mental Resilience in the Modern World
Speaker: Mrs. Eleanor Ann Sierra, Guidance Counselor – Antipolo National High School

Topic 2: Promoting GAD Awareness for the Prevention of Gender-Based Offenses in URS

The seminar seeks to equip students with strategies to face modern challenges while fostering a safe and inclusive campus environment.

🗳️ Last August 12, 2025, the Volunteers Organization conducted its Elections for the 2025–2026 set of officers at the 1st Floor, Academic Building.

This event marks another significant milestone for the organization as members exercised their right to vote and entrusted leadership to the newly elected officers who will serve for Academic Year 2025–2026. 💜
