Introducing one of our pakihi in our current Tupu Accelerator cohort, The Long Game.

Founded by Julia Steenson, Toni Lea, Mandy Kupenga, and Cassie Roma, The Long Game is bridging athletes and the business community.

Their athlete-transition programme assists athletes in articulating their transferable skills gained from sport to organisations looking for exceptional individuals.

"There is no independent support infrastructure for high-performance athletes when their sports careers end. Often, they are suddenly dropped, alone, and without knowing who they are beyond sport," says founder Julia Steenson.

"We provide more than a transition programme; it's a community with support for all areas of an ex-athlete's life. With infrastructure to support an alumni network that endures."

Keen to hear from more Māori innovators like The Long Game? Join us on 2 July for the Tupu Accelerator Showcase 2026!

🎟️ Earlybird tickets from $150+GST close on 12 June— secure your spot and be part of shaping the future Māori economy!
