Collegian John Mowbray (1961-1966) shared with us his experiences of Scots in the 1960s. It was a time of bursary exams, unforgettable classmates, and a school very different than the one we know today.

From starting a tiny stamp-trading hobby at school to building Mowbray Collectables into a global business, travelling the world, serving on international boards, flying on the Concorde, breaking a world record for a NZ stamp, and contributing decades to New Zealand rugby - his story is nothing short of extraordinary.

Collegian Josh Dean (1992-2004) has gone from Island Bay field trips and Pipe Band performances to groundbreaking climate research, global expeditions, and the Philip Leverhulme Prize - one of the UK's highest academic honours.

His story is a reminder of where curiosity (and a few great school camps) can take you. Read the article in full on our website: https://www.scotscollege.school.nz/community/collegians/josh-dean

Today, on ANZAC Day, we remember the service and sacrifice of so many, and the families and communities who carried their stories forward. We especially acknowledge those amongst our Collegian community who hold personal connections to this day. May we honour their legacy through our own acts of courage, care and friendship. Lest we forget.
