Wellington Regional Volleyball Association - WRVA Regional Body supporting, promoting and developing indoor and outdoor volleyball

The design of our new moko by Paige Wilson (Ngati Rangi, Ngati Tuwharetoa/ U19 Rep) represents CONNECTION, KNOWLEDGE, TALENT and ACHIEVEMENT in sport with the care and love of whanau to support the athletes of Wellington Regional Volleyball. The Wellington region is depicted by “Nga Hau e Wha” – the four winds wrapped around the spinning volleyball. Each element of the design has special meaning,

given to the wearer with aroha, to be worn with honor and respect. The wearer takes on part of the wairua (spirit) of all those who wear it and in this way the mauri (life force) is shared between people to give COURAGE, PROTECTION and STRENGTH in unity to face new challenges together.

Another year of IPC has come to an end.
It has been a long, hard-working couple of months for our amazing Operations Team, Volunteer Coaches, and Managers, as well as the dedicated players and parents—not to mention the long hours and effort put in by our teams.

Thank you to our local colleges and local councils for allowing our teams to train in your gyms during an already packed season of other competing sports. Thank you for finding ways to work with us amidst the craziness!

A huge and heartfelt thank you to Pelorus Trust, iAthletic, & Tony T Photography (reels)

Thank you to everyone that has been with us from Day 1 to the end of IPC.

Volleyball is life and the game we love! Let's keep the ball flying!

Please find below the final placings for the 12 teams that represented WRVA over the long weekend at the IPC.
We saw an outstanding performance from both our Open Men’s and Women’s teams, each finishing in 4th place.
Among our age-group teams, results were somewhat mixed, with the ball unfortunately not favouring some of our sides. Nevertheless, every team gave their all throughout the tournament

Good Luck to our Open Mens and Womens team , both playing for Bronze Medal today 11am
