Fieldays 2026 is nearly here! 🐄 We're heading back to Mystery Creek, Hamilton, June 10–13.
Come find us in the Pavilion at stand PA1B.

Fieldays is one of our favourite times of year — a chance to get out into the rural community, have real conversations, and connect with the people who make New Zealand's farming heartland tick.

Stop by our stand to learn more about the IHC Calf & Rural Scheme and the difference it makes for people with intellectual disabilities and their families in rural communities across New Zealand. Our team will be there and would love to have a yarn.

We'll see you at the Creek! 👋

Getting your IHC calves to sale 🐄

We truly appreciate your generosity in supporting the IHC Calf & Rural Scheme, and we want to make the process as smooth as possible for you. Here's a handy guide to help get your calf/calves to sale:

🔆 If you've missed getting your calf to a sale, don't worry! Simply reach out to your local PGG Wrightson rep, and they'll be happy to let you know when the next sale in your area is coming up.

🔆 Please get in touch with your local carrier to arrange the collection of your calf/calves. If there are any transport costs involved, ask your carrier to send the invoice directly to IHC – we'll take care of it.

🔆 To make sure your calf is correctly identified as an IHC Calf & Rural Scheme donation, please write your IHC ear tag number(s) and "IHC CALF" clearly on your ASD form.

🔆 Please make sure your donated calf/calves are wearing both their farm of origin EID NAIT tag and the pink IHC eartag before heading to the sale. This ensures everything is processed correctly and smoothly on the day.

If you have any questions at all or would just like a chat about your support of the IHC Calf & Rural Scheme, we'd love to hear from you. Give us a call on 0800 442 500 or drop us an email at [email protected].

Thank you so much for your support 🩷

Winter’s a good time to keep an eye on your stock water. Cold snaps can freeze troughs faster than you think, and it doesn’t take long for water access to become an issue.

A quick check now and then can save a lot of hassle later – and keeps the cows happy and well hydrated 🐄
Because no one wants thirsty stock when winter really sets in.

🚗 Have you spotted our canvassers out and about?

Some of our incredible canvassers are on the road, reaching out to those in their local area. Keep an eye out for them in their pink hi-vis vests.

Whether it’s a quick chat at the gate or a friendly wave on the road, our team is out there making connections that count.

🩷 We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from Allflex and SenseHub NZ, whose iconic pink tags make it easy to identify donated calves. Thanks to their dedication, we’re able to support people with intellectual disabilities across New Zealand and help transform communities for the better.

🩷 Pink Week Morning Tea in Christchurch & Invercargill

Friends and volunteers from the IHC Friendship Programme in Christchurch, North Canterbury and Invercargill, along with the Patron and committee members from the IHC North Canterbury Association, were delighted to be invited to the PGG Wrightson Pink Morning Teas.

For the past few years, PGG Wrightson Ltd has celebrated their incredible 44-year partnership with the IHC Calf & Rural Scheme by going pink across their organisation for a week. Known as Pink Week, it’s a time filled with fun, connection, and community spirit – with some stores hosting special morning teas.

It was a lovely morning with everyone enjoying the chance to catch up with friends and meet new people from PGG Wrightson, volunteers, IDEA Services staff, and other invitees.

A big thank you to PGG Wrightson for hosting such a welcoming event. Here are some photos of volunteers and their friends enjoying the morning tea.

This is what real community impact looks like in action — a huge thank you to the entire PGG Wrightson team.

Alongside the incredibly generous support of dairy farmers across Aotearoa, you’ve helped us reach our second-highest annual total of $1.4 million.

Andrew presented this IHC Certificate of Appreciation following an insightful annual planning session.

🩷 Pink Week with PGG Wrightson Ltd

For the past few years, PGG Wrightson has celebrated their incredible 44-year partnership with the IHC Calf & Rural Scheme by going pink across their organisation for a week. Known as Pink Week, it’s a time filled with fun, connection, and community spirit – with some stores hosting special morning teas.

These morning teas bring together people supported by IHC and IDEA Services, along with staff and whānau, creating a warm and welcoming space to connect.

This year, five locations hosted events, including Christchurch, Invercargill, Whanganui, Waimate and Blenheim.

We’re so grateful for this ongoing support. Each year, more stores get involved and more people are welcomed in – and it’s clear how much it means to everyone who attends. Many already look forward to coming back the following year.

Thank you, PGG Wrightson, for continuing to show up in such a meaningful way. 🩷
