CURRENT HOURS: Tuesdays 8am to 2pm with coffee and cabinet. Wednesdays to Saturdays 8am to 2pm full cafe. The Daily is a Charitable Trust with a social enterprise, The Daily Cafe. Our central café is located opposite Jubilee park in Te Puke with all the profit going back into Te Puke to feed the dream of creating a connected and thriving community . Te Puke is great - the best little town around - but collectively we can make it even better. We aim to make The Daily Cafe a space that makes everyone feel at home and caters to a wide variety of people. Providing a facility to enable people to connect with each other, work together and help their neighbours in our beautiful community. We believe the best community development is done everyday, by real people, with real problems. We have a meeting room where community groups can meet, and dream up new ways to work together in collaboration. All profits go back into Te Puke with the purpose of alleviating poverty and breaking the poverty cycle in our town. We have a superb facility and great people on board.

BIG MORNING RUN | MOVE. CONNECT. SUPPORT.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, Trinity Lands is bringing our community together for a relaxed 4km walk — and we’re proud to be the starting and finishing point.

📅 Friday 16 October
📍 Meet at The Daily Café, Te Puke
🕘 Start: 9am
🚶 4km along Te Ara Kahikatea, then back to The Daily

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme is belonging, so come along, bring a friend, your whānau or your workmates, and enjoy a morning of moving, connecting and supporting each other.

After the run you will receive a voucher to get 50% off your coffee. Trinity Lands will cover the other 50% and match that amount with a donation to the Mental Health Foundation NZ.

A big thank you to Western Bay of Plenty District Council for supporting The Daily through the Community Matching Fund. 💛

Their funding has helped cover the installation costs of our new CCTV and alarm system, alongside the generous donation of the security equipment from Westcon-Comstor and Hikvision Partners.

This means we can open our beautiful new community kitchen and spaces for local groups to use outside our normal hours — without needing additional staff on site.

More access, more connection, and a more sustainable way for our community to come together.

THE DAILY IMPACT | SEPTEMBER 🌱

A month of good kai, less waste, and a little more connection.

Here’s what your support helped make happen in September:

🍎 540 school meals/snacks delivered
Thanks to our generous sponsors, helping make sure tamariki have access to a nutritious meal at school.

🥘 268 meals made & sold at cost
Affordable, nourishing meals made in our kitchen and available to our community at cost.

🥝 1054 kg of fruit delivered to school
Including gold kiwifruit that might otherwise have gone to waste, rescued and redistributed thanks to our sponsors.

🥛 162 plastic milk bottles saved
We now use Volcanic creamery milk on tap at The Daily Café, avoiding single-use plastic milk bottles every month.

🤝 3 Community events hosted

🤲 132 hours volunteered
Helping with food rescue, community programmes, events and governance.

Thank you to everyone who eats with us, orders from us, donates, sponsors, grows, delivers, volunteers and helps make it happen.

It was a great opportunity to share a little bit about The Daily, why we do what we do, and how our community can get behind us.

We’re so much more than a café — from affordable, nutritious meals and catering, to our work with local food producers and community food initiatives.
