๐Ÿ‘ Sheep Section โ€“ 300+ entries

The Sheep Section was a standout at this yearโ€™s Malvern A&P Show, with over 300 sheep entered, including 250 exhibits plus gift lambs - among the strongest numbers seen for some time.

Congratulations to the Hoban family from Waipara, whose South Suffolk ewe was awarded Champion Sheep of the Show.

Convenors John Jebson and Dene Wason also acknowledged the outstanding contribution of students from the Darfield High School Rural College led by Rex Smith and Vanessa Smith.

Assisting with set-up, unloading and penning sheep on Show morning, their efficiency drew plenty of positive comment, with farmers noting they could โ€œturn around and the job was done.โ€

Many of these students also went on to compete in the Youth Rural Fencing Competition, showcasing their skills across the day.

A fantastic effort from all involved and a real credit to the strength of the Sheep Section this year.
