Looking for a local playgroup?

Come along to Toy Library - a relaxed place for little ones to play, explore and make friends, while the grown-ups enjoy a cuppa and some company too.

We’re taking a break for the school holidays, but we’ll be back Wednesday 14 October, 9:30-11:30am at Sheffield Domain.

New families are always welcome 💛

Looking for something fun for the kids that doesn’t come with another commitment? 🧸

That’s exactly how we like our Toy Library to be!

There’s no big commitment that comes with being a member here. No volunteering requirements, no session rosters, and nothing you need to prepare or contribute.

If we’re open and you feel like coming along, just turn up! Let the kids have a play, browse the toys and choose some favourites to take home.

Stay for a chat or make it a quick toy swap. Come regularly or just when it works for your family.

We want Toy Library to be an easy, flexible part of family life — not another thing on the to-do list.

Just turn up, play and borrow. 🧸💛

We keep it simple on purpose.

See you tomorrow for another lovely session at our new location in the Sheffield Domain!

We’re your local hub for borrowing children’s toys, with a weekly playgroup too. It’s a great place for little ones to play while parents, grandparents and caregivers build their own local support network.

New faces are always welcome. We’ll have the heater on, plenty of hot drinks, and a warm welcome waiting for you 😊

Take a look around our new space!
Lots of seating, soft mats for playing, plenty of toys and a spacious kitchen... how lucky are we 🤩

🎉 We have moved! 🎉

Today is our first session in our new home at the Sheffield Domain and we are so excited to finally reopen our doors.

Getting to this point has been a huge community effort. We have been blown away by the generosity shown to our cause, with volunteers, family members and local businesses all pitching in to make this happen.

The old bowls club has come a long way from when we first unlocked the door, being turned into a warm welcoming space for families in our wider community. There is still some work to do outside before we can truly say it is finished, but the building itself is ready for our first session back today.

We are open from 9:30-11:30am every Wednesday during term time and we welcome members of the community to pop your head in to see what this mammoth effort has accomplished!

The school holidays crept up fast didn’t they!
We hope you enjoy your toys over the break, helping to keep the kids busy while you stay warm and dry inside.

See you back next term - 22nd July!

A quick reminder for all of our newer members:

If you haven't already, please request to join our private Facebook group: **Springfield Sheffield Toy Library Members Only**.

It's where we share important updates about session changes, closures, new toys, upcoming events and everything else happening at the Toy Library. We also love hearing your feedback, ideas and toy requests, so it's a great place to keep in touch and be part of our Toy Library community.

We'll approve your request as soon as we see it. 😊

GETTING TO KNOW OUR TOY LIBRARY 💛

We’ve realised over time that many people aren’t quite sure what a toy library actually is — or how ours works in particular (they are all different).

Some families imagine something similar to a regular library, while others are surprised to learn that our toy library also operates as a relaxed stay-and-play space where parents, caregivers, and children spend time together.

So we thought we’d put together a small series sharing a few things people often ask (or are surprised to learn!) about our toy library and community.

Here's the first installment.
