At Rotorua Rowing Club, protecting our waters is non-negotiable. Following Biosecurity New Zealand guidelines, every club lifejacket/Belt is checked, cleaned, hot-water treated, and hung to dry completely between lakes so we don’t transfer freshwater pests

Doing our bit to protect the Rotorua Te Arawa Lakes from gold clams and freshwater pests.

Check. Clean. Dry. Every time.

The evening before, we arrive beneath pink skies,
With eager hearts and spirits lifted high,
The boats lie waiting as the daylight dies,
And golden colours fade across the sky.
We settle in with laughter and good cheer,
Our bags unpacked beneath the evening glow,
The camp feels bright; the weekend now is here,
Though tired eyes are telling us to go.
We share a few more stories, jokes and smiles,
Then make our way to beds beneath the stars,
For tomorrow waits with early morning miles,
And boats to launch and blades to lift afar.
So early to bed, with dreams of water's flow,
For dawn will call — and off to rowing we go

First boat trailer warrant done and dusted. Super fast, excellent and thorough service from Nigel at Extra Mile. Boat #3 on it's way, #2 is going through now.
