EFKS Porirua Youth will be running a Night-Time Emergency Hub Evacuation Event on Wednesday, 10 December, at the Waitangirua Emergency Hub, located at EFKS Porirua Church, 2 Louisa Grove, Waitangirua.
The exercise will run from 9:00pm to 10:00pm and is open to anyone in the public who would like to take part and help build our capacity and resilience as a community.
This event is designed to give our young people a chance to practice how they might respond if an emergency occurred at night without access to electricity or Wi-Fi. To make the experience realistic, power to the hub will be shut off for the duration of the exercise.
When you arrive, please come down to the Hub, where you can pick up a scenario script and walk through the emergency response process step-by-step.
Light refreshments will be provided for you to grab as you leave.
