A great opportunity for newcomers to Wellington to connect, learn about jobs and safety in New Zealand, and build meaningful networks within the Nepalese community.

☕🍩 डुनोट-चिया मिटअप भाग २ | Dunot-Chiya Meetup Episode 2

Are you new to Wellington for study, work, or a new beginning? Join us for an informative and friendly afternoon where you can connect with the Nepalese community, gain practical insights, and build your network.

📅 Date: Sunday, 19 July 2026
🕟 Time: 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Venue: Johnsonville Community Centre
3 Frankmoore Avenue, Johnsonville

What to expect:

Session 1 Led by a recruiting agency and will include:
✔️CV and cover letter writing tips
✔️current market insights and job prospects in New Zealand

Session 2 will be led by New Zealand Police and will include:
✔️How to stay safe in New Zealand
✔️where to get help etc..

Session 3 will be led by TNSW and will include:
✔️Panel discussions with our community members who work across various industries (IT, Business, ) who will share their insights regarding how to get into these industries, challenges and opportunities etc.

There will also be plenty of time for everyone to network and get to know each other during this event .

Come along and join us for Multicultural Matariki Puanga in the Hutt, an evening filled with live performances, storytelling, whanaungatanga, kai, and togetherness.

MNZ Social Cohesion Session – 4 July 2026

Porirua Multicultural Council was proud to work together with Wellington Multicultural Council to support Multicultural New Zealand at the MNZ Social Cohesion Session held today.

It was a meaningful opportunity to come together with community leaders, organisations, and partners to talanoa, listen, and reflect on what social cohesion means for our diverse communities in Aotearoa New Zealand.

For PMC, social cohesion is about more than living side by side. It is about belonging, respect, understanding, connection, and making sure every culture, every voice, and every family has a place.

As a multicultural community, we remain committed to supporting work that strengthens unity across ethnicities, cultures, and generations.
