What an amazing turnout and a wonderful day! 🏍️

It was fantastic to see so many riders come together for the Daylight Savings Ride, raising an incredible $2,390 for our Nelson Marlborough Westpac Rescue Helicopter a couple of weekends ago.

🚁 25 missions in September

Throughout September, our Nelson Marlborough Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew completed 25 missions across the region and beyond, responding to medical emergencies, trauma incidents and urgent inter-hospital transfers.

From Karamea and Tākaka to Seddon, Nelson, Christchurch and Wellington, our crew was there when they were needed most ❤️

Two wheels, a big ride and an amazing $2,390 raised! 🏍️🚁

A huge thank you to the Top of the South Motorcycle Club and everyone who supported this year’s Daylight Savings Ride for the Nelson Marlborough Westpac Rescue Helicopter. 💛

A special shout-out to the Nelson Host Lions Club for providing breakfast and the MTF Finance Nelson for helping us with keeping the day running and contributing a $100 lucky entry prize!

🚁 When the call comes in, every minute matters.

Earlier this month, emergency services responded to a serious crash involving a truck and a car on State Highway 1 near Blenheim. Five people were taken to hospital following the crash, with one person reported to be in a critical condition.

Incidents like this are a reminder of just how quickly an ordinary morning can turn into an emergency... and why having emergency services ready to respond across our region is so important.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved in the crash, their whānau, and the emergency service teams who responded.

Every mission we undertake is made possible with the support of our community. Thank you for helping us continue to be there when we’re needed most ❤️🚁

🚁 An incredible $21,500 raised for our Rescue Helicopter!

A huge thank you to the Marfell family, who organised a quiz night in Marlborough and raised an amazing $21,500 to support our service. ❤️

This cause is especially close to their hearts. After Hunter suffered serious brain injuries and broken bones in a mountain biking accident, our crew flew him to Christchurch for specialist care. After spending time in a coma, we’re incredibly pleased to say Hunter has made a full recovery and is doing well today.

The Marfell family would like to sincerely thank all the sponsors who helped make the fundraiser such a success, along with Mel Ball, Blair McLean and Lucy Stephens for their invaluable support.

🏍️🚁 RIDE FOR YOUR RESCUE HELICOPTER! 🚁🏍️

This Saturday 26 September, the Top of the South Motorcycle Club is once again hitting the road for its annual Daylight Savings Ride, raising vital funds for the Nelson Marlborough Westpac Rescue Helicopter. 💛

Each year up to 90 riders take part, travelling from Filco Farm & Sport in Stoke, through to St Arnaud, before finishing at the Wakefield Hotel — all in support of a service that is there for our community when every minute counts. (Top South Now)

📍 Registrations from 9am at Filco Farm & Sport
🏍️ Ride starts 11am
💛 $20 per person
🍳 Breakfast available from 9am thanks to the Nelson Host Lions Club
🎟️ Raffles and ride badges available on the day
