Alzheimers Nelson Tasman will be holding our annual Memory Walk in Isel Park, Stoke on Saturday, 19th September 2026. This Memory Walk is for people of all ages and abilities. It provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the growing incidence of dementia in our community and to honour those living with dementia, their care partners, whānau and friends, while remembering those who are no longer able to walk alongside us.
Join us at 11am outside St. Barnabas Church, Stoke as we walk through Isel Park accompanied by the stirring sounds of local pipers. Afterwards, enjoy some refreshments (scones, tea/coffee) which will be available for purchase (cash only).

Join the Board of Alzheimers Nelson Tasman and Help Make a Difference

Alzheimers Nelson Tasman is seeking passionate and skilled individuals to join our Board and help guide the future of our organisation.

We support people living with dementia and their whānau throughout the Nelson Tasman region. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking for new Board members who can contribute their expertise, networks and leadership to help us achieve our mission.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in:
• Fundraising
• Marketing and communications
• Business development
• Community engagement
• Strategic partnerships
• Governance and leadership.

Previous Board experience is welcome but not essential. We value diverse perspectives and encourage applications from people who are passionate about supporting our community.

As a Board member, you will:
• Provide strategic oversight and governance
• Support organisational sustainability and growth
• Help strengthen community awareness and fundraising efforts
• Advocate for people living with dementia and their families.

This is a voluntary position and an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of people across our region.
