Meeting Highlights | Hope, Stories and Shared Learning
A little hope, a positive outlook and plenty of stories to take home! 🌟
Our Monday meeting explored the theme Hope, with sanguine as our Word of the Day, meaning optimistic and positive about the future.
We enjoyed four engaging speeches, each bringing a different perspective, from Evil Is Fun and Making a Real Friend to Rediscovering Myself.
After 35 years in Toastmasters and completing several Pathways paths, Ian is still embracing new learning opportunities. Last Monday, he began the Motivational Strategies path with its Ice Breaker speech, Not Another Icebreaker.
His journey reminds us that learning never stops, no matter how experienced we are. Toastmasters continues to provide an engaging and encouraging environment where we can challenge ourselves, discover new skills and keep growing.
📚 Learning from one another
Glen brought along leadership books he had read and invited participants to choose one and share something about themselves. It was a creative way to encourage spontaneous speaking while sharing knowledge, experiences and ideas.
After all, that is part of what makes Toastmasters special. We all have something to learn and something to share.
