Kia Ora Koutou
With the forwarding of the clocks and the illusion that the days are somehow longer and the realisation that 5 am is really 4 am, can only mean 1 thing okay 2 things we lost a hour of sleep and the Spring Biathlon series is just around the corner
The date for the first event is set for the Thursday the 15th October and a refresher on timings will be posted in due course
Sooooo what’s this all mean?…..get your bike sorted and check everything is in order.
Don’t ask Troy he couldn’t even pump up Lexi’s tyres last year!
Brakes and gearing are working and batteries are still functioning, thats a special mention for E Bike Craig
Still same bat 🦇 place, Henley Lake near Men’s Shed same Bat 🦇 time 6 pm and same bat 🦇 briefing 💤 😂
Hopefully regulars bring a few friends, another mention for Craig.

At the last AGM it was unanimously decided that these 2 absolute legends should become life members of the WMSC
Judy and Stephen Brown have been around forever and Judy was the previous leading force behind the kids triathlon for 30 plus years
Steve was also heavily involved in this event mainly as Judy’s flunkey
Both are also handy athletes and continue to support our events
Once again thank you both

Venue confirmed as the Horseshoe Tapas bar at Farriers…..then welcome to stay for a bar meal on completion

Time - 6.15 for a 6.30 pm start

Ironmaori is in November and we have a rather large number of people interested in participating.
If you are keen but not for the full distance get a team together or do the quarter distance
The great thing about the team event is that it’s a sh***un start so everyone does their leg at the same time. There is also an option to do just the individual legs by yourself!
Our club has always had a strong representation at this event and done pretty good and this year will be no exception.
If we get enough numbers we will be taking up the club tent and dominating a piece of whenua for cheering and post event recovery ❤️‍🩹
Get involved it’s a great event and only just up the road

If you want to improve your swimming and confidence then please join us at Trusthouse pool on Tuesday nights at 5.30 pm sharp
Cost TBC but WMSC members get subsidised so it be an idea to join up heading into summer
