Not just Australia... Bruce has summed it up quite well.
What are *YOUR* thoughts on the matter?

It’s time to call a spade a spade!!

We need to talk about the current state of PWC racing in this country, specifically when it comes to event scheduling. Clashing major events on the exact same date is absolutely killing the sport.

It makes zero sense—especially when one of those events has been sitting locked into the calendar for months.

How about putting egos and personal agendas aside, get in the same room, and actually work together for the benefit of the riders and the wider community?

I know speaking up like this will probably make me unpopular with plenty people, but it has to be called out. We cannot keep fracturing an already small community and expect it to thrive. No wonder racing is on its ass in this country right now.

Let’s start working together, not against each other. The riders, supporters and sponsors deserve way better. 🎧🏁

What a weekend at Stump Bay, Taupō to close out our Summer Series. On behalf of the JSRNZ Exec Committee, congratulations to everyone involved in delivering a challenging but successful race meeting in some truly testing conditions. The professionalism shown across the event was outstanding and a credit to the whole team.

A special acknowledgement goes to John and Gabe for their calm, consistent organisation throughout the weekend. Resetting the course each morning in those conditions was no small task, and their effort played a huge part in keeping racing fair, safe, and enjoyable.

Huge appreciation also to our marshals, who braved the cold on skis, and to our lap‑scoring team, who handled one of the most demanding and least‑recognised jobs in the sport. Every one of these people volunteers their time so our riders can race — their contribution matters, and we encourage everyone to show them the respect and gratitude they deserve.

Thank you as well to Auto Marine Services NZ (AMS Taupō) for the sausage sizzle on day two, Nanas Food Cart for keeping everyone fuelled on day one, and to the venue team for providing an excellent base for competitors and supporters.

With the Summer Series wrapped and points finalised, the committee is already working behind the scenes on a Winter Season of events to keep the momentum rolling. More details will be shared soon.

Thanks again to all riders, supporters, volunteers, and partners who make this sport what it is.

A BRILLIANT video, capturing today's event. Yup, a choppy day adds a whole new dynamic to the racing. Everyone loves to have a bit of waves to jump and that was def a bonus on the lake today!

Thanks to Auto Marine Services NZ for braving the weather to come and support us and nab this video!
