⚡️ GOT UNSUED ELECTRICALS? WE’D LOVE THEM!

Before you throw out that toaster, lamp or other electrical treasure, why not give it a second life?
We’re still happily accepting electrical goods at our Hato Hone St John Op Stores!

♻️ Just one important thing to check before donating: make sure the plug has insulated pin sleeves — the plastic insulation at the base of the metal pins. (Items without these cannot be resold).

All suitable electrical items are tagged and tested - helping us keep pre-loved treasures in circulation and safely.
So, if you have electrical goods you no longer need, check those plugs and bring them in!

We want to say a HUGE thank you to our 3 Steps for Life Tutor, Craig, who came up from Wellington on Saturday to provide free, lifesaving training at our store — teaching and empowering people with the knowledge and confidence to respond to a cardiac arrest❤️

Shocktober is back! 💛

Knowing what to do in an emergency can mean the difference between life and loss. A patient’s chance of survival more than doubles when bystanders perform CPR and defibrillation before emergency services arrive—every minute matters.

Backed by major sponsor MAS, over the next four weeks we aim to help 15,000 people across the motu learn these life-saving skills through 3 Steps for Life (Ngā Tohu Whakaora e Toru), our free, one-hour awareness programme.

The 3 Steps for Life are:

⚡ Using an AED

We are also engaging 6,500 tamariki through our 'Save Your Teddy' campaign, helping children learn about emergencies in a safe, age-appropriate way 🧸
