"First time for this East Coast Maori to step foot in the South Island, Invercargill crowd definitely didn’t disappoint, the aroha and the maanaki was unreal! Felt like i was back on the East Coast...was the first and most definitely won’t be the last.” – Hori Shaw.

Our friends at Arts Murihiku (and a whole bunch of their very talented friends) are taking over the inner city this Friday for Night of the Arts ✨ No map - just rug up and wander. Follow the music, the lights, and your curiosity. Fun for all ages, on between 5pm and 9pm… and the weather’s looking pretty good too 👀

We’re proud to have supported this project with a joint $400,000 grant, helping bring this fantastic new surface to life. It’s a big win for the game locally and for the whole community. This ANZAC Day, we take time to reflect on the New Zealanders and Australians who served. However you choose to mark the day, at a dawn service, with whānau, or in a quiet moment of your own, we remember them.

Queens Park has many special places, and this is one of our favourite hidden gems 😍
Tucked near the duck pond is the Southland Boy statue, commissioned by ILT for the Southland Centennial in 1956 and unveiled in 1957 (because even then, good things took time😉). If you are out for a walk this long weekend, see if you can find it.
