Hey team!
WSc is running an overnight trip down to the Pureora Forest again to help the Pirongia Restoration Society with ecological monitoring and bait station maintenance. These volunteering events are fun and can look great on your CV!
The plan is as usual, we will meet at the uni from gate 9, on Friday @ 3.00pm, with a stop at Otorohanga for dinner. That night we will get briefed, then we will do a night walk to look for bugs. We will be staying at the Pureora forest lodge.
Saturday morning you will get paired with someone experienced to go baiting in the forest park. Expect a bit of walking with a heavy pack. We will leave that afternoon, stopping at Otorohanga for dinner again. Breakfast, lunch and supper will be supplied, you only need to contribute to the fuel for the vans. More information will be supplied after you sign up.
