Our monthly social catch-up is a chance to celebrate the wealth that already exists within our community.

Volunteers needed for Kaiwhakahaere / Operations Facilitator (manager) and Fundraiser positions

Do you want to make a difference in building a stronger, more resilient and thriving local community?

Are you well-organised, proactive, trustworthy a good communicator? Are you proficient with IT for collaboration (e.g. Microsoft Office online), or at least a quick and willing learner?

Our organisation is all about growing volunteering in our community and is powered by volunteering, so we are looking for volunteers who can give time on a regular basis to fill these roles (all hours logged on Dunedin TimeBank). Please consider joining our organising team! Both roles work closely with our existing Community Coordinator.

Support will be given in learning the roles before they are handed over from the current person who aims to finish by the end of this year due to needing to focus more on family and other commitments.

Kaiwhakahaere / Operations Facilitator
Resonsible for management of the operations of Dunedin TimeBank including supervision of the operational team, employee management (e.g. payroll), health & safety, planning, budgeting and banking.

Expected time commitment: 5+ hours per week, variable. If you're available for more, we can achieve our goals faster!

Fundraiser
Resonsible for improving the funding of Dunedin TimeBank (via Connecting Otago Charitable Trust) - especially grant writing and planning, but also building other fundraising capability to help strengthen and diversify our funding sources to improve our resilience.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the recent passing of Raewyn Miller, a valued member of our Dunedin TimeBank community.

Raewyn was a strong supporter and generous contributor whose kindness, commitment, and involvement touched many lives. Her loss will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. For many years she has contributed to organising and supporting Dunedin TimeBank, and was a current board member of Connecting Otago Charitable Trust, the charity supporting Dunedin TimeBank.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Raewyn's family and friends during this difficult time.

This Saturday 29th August at 2pm we will be holding a gathering to remember and celebrate Raewyn's life and her contribution to our community. If you knew Raewyn and would like to join us, please send us a message here for further details.

Raewyn will be greatly missed and warmly remembered.
